MO FARAH admits he once used a Spanish track linked to controversial athletics coach Jama Aden.
Britain’s double Olympic champion tweeted a picture of himself in 2014 claiming to be training at his usual base in Font-Romeu in the French Pyrenees.
But it has now emerged the picture was taken days earlier in the Catalan town of Sabadell, where Aden’s group has trained over the last four years.
It is not known whether Aden, who was arrested by police on doping charges earlier this week, was there that particular day.
Farah, though, has again distanced himself from Aden, insisting he simply posted the picture when he arrived in Font-Romeu.
The long-distance ace, 33, had collapsed while training in America weeks before and was airlifted to hospital with a suspected heart problem — which eventually forced him out of that summer’s Commonwealth Games.
There is no suggestion Farah has done anything wrong.
And his spokeswoman said: “Mo came to the UK for medical tests for a few days and was delayed in travelling up to Font-Romeu.
“As he was recovering and needed to do a workout it was decided he should do one at sea level.
“So it was arranged for him to do a short session near Barcelona before immediately leaving for Font-Romeu. There is nothing sinister in it.”
