AJ's taking it Breazey

Anthony Joshua vs Dominic Breazeale: Tyson Fury predicting easy night’s work for AJ in his first IBF world title defence

'I don’t think Breazeale is any good at all,' said WBO and WBA Super title-holder ahead of Saturday's heavyweight bout

TYSON FURY is predicting an easy night’s work for Anthony Joshua against Dominic Breazeale on Saturday.

Breazeale, 30, boasts a 17-fight unbeaten record going into the clash with the IBF world heavyweight champ at London’s O2 Arena.

But Fury does not expect the 6ft 7in Californian to give Joshua any problems — despite 15 of his victories coming by way of knockout.

The WBO and WBA Super title-holder, who faces a rematch with Wladimir Klitschko in Manchester on July 9, said: “I don’t think Breazeale is any good at all.

“He’s got an undefeated record but he’s no good — he’s not a fighter in my opinion. I just see it being a knock-over again.

“There are people out there who you could hit with a sledgehammer and they wouldn’t fall over.

“So don’t be mistaken that Joshua can punch a hole through anybody, because that’s just not the case.

“We see these people who come in, take two or three punches and just want to go down — like our man Arnold Gjergjaj, who David Haye beat.

“Gjergjaj took one jab and went over. He was looking for the canvas the whole time.

“You can fight bums if you want to fight bums. But in the long run it won’t be good for Joshua, I’ll tell you that now.”

Joshua, 26, knocked out Charles Martin in two rounds in April to win the IBF title and make it 16 stoppages in 16 pro fights.

Fury remains keen to face AJ but has no interest in regaining the belt held by his fellow Brit, which was stripped from him shortly after he toppled Klitschko in November.

The unbeaten Gypsy King, 27, added: “I'm in charge, I'm the man, the king of the heavyweights, the No1, whatever you want to call it.

“What does it mean to be a world champion? Nothing. What does it mean to be the best in the division? Everything.

“Joshua can stay as the champion, whatever he is, the paper champion. I won't be fighting for the IBF belt.

“I won't pay the sanctioning fees, so when I beat him he can keep the belt or it will become vacant.

“Why would I pay for stuff or fight for something when they robbed me?

"The IBF knew full well I had a rematch clause with Klitschko, yet they still took my sanctioning fees to fight for the belt.

“They didn't return my money when they took it off me. For me, that's daylight robbery.”

Deontay Wilder, 30, is currently in possession of the only world heavyweight title not in British hands.

But just like the IBF gold, Fury has no desire to win the famous green belt.

He added: “The belts don't make it a big fight. I always maintain belts don't make fighters.

"They can bring whatever belts they want to the fight, but it doesn't mean I'm going to pay for them.

“I won't be paying sanctioning fees for the belts. It looks good on paper to say it's a unification fight, but I'm not interested in those belts.

“They can have the belts. When I win, I don't want to be seen holding them at all."
