Amir Khan has decided against representing Pakistan at this summer’s Rio Olympics.
Khan, 29, who won Britain a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Games, had said earlier this month he would “love” the opportunity to represent the country of his parents’ birth.

But he now admits he will not be ready to seek a place in Rio via the final qualification tournament — due to take place in Venezuela early next month.
World governing body AIBA changed the rules earlier this month to allow professional boxers to compete at the Olympics.
But the move has yet to attract big names with the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Manny Pacquiao deciding not to sign up for the Games in Rio.
