England star Manu Tuilagi out for SIX MONTHS and will miss autumn series and Six Nations due to achilles injury
MANU TUILAGI is out for six months - handing England a huge injury blow.
The Sale Sharks centre needs surgery on his damaged achilles.
And now he will miss all of England's autumn series plus the Six Nations.
Tuilagi hurt himself in Sale's win over Northampton Saints on Tuesday night.
Sale boss Steve Diamond said: "Manu will be a loss to England and Sale."
Tuilagi has had a career plagued by injuries, but had looked in good shape during most of 2020.
The 29-year-old was a star for England and helped them reach last year's World Cup final against South Africa.
Eddie Jones names his next England squad on Monday.
He will now have to find a replacement for Tuilagi.
And it is not just there where there are serious concerns either.
Courtney Lawes is also sweating on his Test future after damaging his knee in the same match.
Second row Lawes will see a specialist next week after going for a scan on Wednesday.
