West Brom boss Tony Pulis keen on taking Hammers striker Enner Valencia to Hawthorns
Ecuador international could find himself down pecking order at Hammers with boss Slaven Bilic looking for another hitman
WEST HAM striker Enner Valencia is on top of West Brom boss Tony Pulis’ summer shopping list.
The Baggies released Victor Anichebe last week and with the future of Saido Berahino uncertain, Pulis needs to add some more firepower to his squad.
And it could be a move that appeals to the 26-year-old Valencia – if he decides he wants to stay in England.
The Ecuador international endured a frustrating season in east London last season after struggling with an persistent ankle injury and then finding limited first-team opportunities on his return.
He made just 19 league appearances for boss Slaven Bilic’s side, scoring only four goals.
But he has found form while on duty at Copa America.
He scored once and provided two assists as Ecuador beat Haiti 4-0, to finish above Brazil and qualify for quarter-finals.

Valencia also scored in the previous game against Peru.
Those sort of displays might not be enough to keep him at West Ham – he looks set to be deemed surplus to requirements with Bilic searching for a top-class hitman.
That could pave the way for Pulis to make a move with Berahino linked with a move to Everton.
Valencia hinted at wanting to make a move when talking to Spanish newspaper Marca – but not to West Brom.
A move to the La Liga appeals to him.
He said: "I watch a lot of the Spanish league and I think I could play there."
