CONOR McGREGOR showed off his extreme new shaved head look - and got fans drooling over a potential comeback.

The Irishman first introduced the buzz cut in 2016 when he lost to Nate Diaz but avenged the defeat five months later.

He also cut off all his hair just before fighting Floyd Mayweather in his lucrative 2017 boxing debut.

McGregor, 32, is currently retired, and with speculation of a comeback it appears he is looking to roll back the clock.

The former two-weight champion posed with his fresh trim in the gym and also uploaded a picture of a weight bench, stacked up ready for a massive press.

It caught the eye of fans online, who are convinced McGregor is set to return to his brilliant best.

One said: "Bald Conor = motivated Conor."

Another said: "HES BACK WITH A VENGEANCE."

One added: "Bald Conor is the highest level of mma fighter we've ever seen. Only a matter of time until he's back."

McGregor has been on holiday in France with long-time partner Dee Devlin, where the pair announced their engagement.

Despite enjoying the retired life, UFC president Dana White confirmed he has held talks with the southpaw, fuelling rumours of a return.

White told ESPN: "We're working on some fun stuff for Conor for the start of next year.

"He should be back next year. I'm not saying he's coming back to fight guaranteed but we're talking right now about some stuff."

McGregor has not fought since beating Donald Cerrone, 37, in 40 seconds in January.

But his dream of a three-fight 'season' was soon dashed after the coronavirus pandemic halted his new found momentum.

He was then pushed further down the lightweight title pecking order as Justin Gaethje, 31, won the interim title.

It sets him up with a unification against Khabib Nurmagomedov, 31, who McGregor was hoping to rematch, having been beaten in 2018.

Following frustration after finding himself frozen out of the title picture, The Notorious announced his third retirement in four years.

Despite seemingly enjoying the retired life abroad, his manager Audie Attar backed up fresh suggestions McGregor is ready to make a UFC comeback in some capacity.

Attar told ESPN's Ariel Helwani: “We had some very interesting talks with the UFC recently.

"We are excited about the future and working on some fun things. Exciting things to come in the near future.”
