WWE legend Chris Jericho has admitted that Brock Lesnar is not interested in a switch to AEW.

The Beast is thought to be a free agent after failing to agree terms on an extension to his contract with Vince McMahon's company.

Le Champion admitted his former WWE colleague is not a good fit to join him in AEW

The 43-year-old has not competed inside the ring since WrestleMania 36 in April when he lost the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre.

Jericho meanwhile has proved influential in convincing several of his former colleagues - including Jon Moxley and Brodie Lee - to jump ship to rivals AEW.

Yet Le Champion admitted that Lesnar is not the right fit for Tony Khan's promotion and that the ex-UFC star will likely remain with McMahon.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Jericho said: "I don't think he really fits AEW, I don't think he wants to come to AEW.

I don't think Brock is really a free agent. I think he's just not under contract right now. It would take so much money to have him come to AEW

Chris Jericho on Brock Lesnar to AEW rumours

"I think that he's happy working in WWE, and I think him and Vince do this little dance every year too where he's not going to work there again, and Vince doesn't want him and then he kind of plays the field a little bit.

"And then Vince pays him a s***load of money to do minimal work. And I think they're both happy with that.

"So I don't think Brock is really a free agent. I think he's just not under contract right now.

"It would take so much money to have him come to AEW, for example. And if that offer was made, of course, he would go back to Vince and Vince would match it either way.

"So I don't think there's any chance of Brock going anywhere.

"Let me rephrase that, a very small chance of Brock going anywhere, but a very big chance he's gonna end back up at WWE.

"Whenever they go to Saudi Arabia again or whenever there’s a WrestleMania in front of a crowd again, whenever they need him to be a draw, they’ll bring him back."

In the meantime, Jericho has his hands full in the first-ever Mimosa Mayhem match against Orange Cassidy at All Out this weekend.

When asked how the bout fares compared to other unique clashes he's had during his career, the Demo God added: "This is one of the most unique and the reason for that is because there's never been one before.

"So whenever that happens, you can't go back and watch an old tape to see what did they do last year in the Mimosa Mayhem match.

"It's not the first time I've ever been in a match that's having its debut.

"The Money in the Bank was was another one of my creations. I was in the first Money in the Bank. I was in the first Elimination Chamber.
