Muhammad Ali’s daughter Hana reveals her last photo of the boxing great before sad death

Hana Ali, one of 10 siblings, posted the picture from Facetime on her Twitter account - 'telling him I love him'

THE daughter of Muhammad Ali has revealed one of the last images of the boxing great while he was still alive.

Ali, the former heavyweight champion of the world and arguably the greatest boxer of all-time, died aged 74 early on Saturday morning.

Daughter Hana shared the image on her Twitter feed on Tuesday afternoon.

She said that the image was the last one she had taken of the former champion, who died from septic shock following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

The legendary athlete,  who transcended sport to become a spokesman and activist on black and Muslim rights, can be seen on Facetime with Hana, one of his 10 children.

Hana posted the caption: “My last photo of my beautiful father… telling him I love him on May 22”.

Tributes continue to flood in for Ali, born Cassius Clay.

It has since been announced that Lennox Lewis, himself a former heavyweight champion, and actor Will Smith will be pallbearer’s at his funeral.

The ceremony will be held in Ali’s hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday.

Lewis wrote on Facebook: “He was my source of inspiration, and along with my other hero, Nelson Mandela, served as a shining example of grace, dignity, and courage, through a lifetime of service to others.

“Those who would question his greatness have no understanding of the technical brilliance he brought into the ring, the courage he displayed outside of it, the voice he gave to the voiceless, or the risk he faced in order to do so.

“Because of Ali, the sport of boxing has given many, including myself, more than they could ever dream of.

“Ali gave to the sport of boxing, more than it could ever repay!”
