Barca are looking to revamp their aging squad after missing out on the league title before they were humiliated 8-2 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week.

They are looking for recruits all over the park, but Koeman is believed to have identified Keane as the perfect long-term replacement for Gerard Pique, 33, who has offered to leave for the good of the club.

The ace has played over 100 times for Everton and his performances have also been recognised at international level, winning 10 caps for the Three Lions.
