Aaron Ramsey ‘unwanted’ by Pirlo as new Juventus boss plans to flog ex-Arsenal star in transfer overhaul
AARON Ramsey is facing the boot from Juventus as new boss Andrea Pirlo plots a massive summer clearout.
The former Arsenal star, 29, has struggled to make an impact since moving to Turin on a free transfer last July.
Despite pocketing a reported £400,000 a week, the Welshman managed just 24 Serie A appearances and three goals under Maurizio Sarri.
And following the former Chelsea boss's sacking on Saturday, new manager Pirlo is ready to move the midfielder on, .
Ramsey, who has been hit by injuries, has been linked with an early exit from the Allianz Stadium for a large part of this season.
That includes a move back to the Premier League in a swap deal for Manchester United's Paul Pogba.
Tottenham were also offered his services in June as Juve looked to rebalance the books in the wake of coronavirus.
And Chelsea were given the option of taking him last month in another swap deal that would have seen Jorginho once again linking up with his old Blues and Napoli mentor Sarri in Italy.
With Sarri now gone, Juve appear to have cooled their interest in Jorginho.
But Ramsey - who faces competition from the likes of Adrien Rabiot, Rodrigo Bentancur and the incoming Arthur Melo for a midfield berth - still looks to have no future with the Old Lady.
Pirlo, 41, wants a massive revamp of the squad following the disappointing Champions League exit to Lyon on Saturday night.
As well as Ramsey, the club legend is looking to offload at least another seven players including Chelsea flop Gonzalo Huguain and Manchester United target Douglas Costa.
He will however be desperate to keep hold of Cristiano Ronaldo, who fired 31 goals in 33 games to help Juve clinch their eighth successive Serie A title.

And after posting pictures showing off his ripped abs, there is no doubt the 35-year-old can still offer his new gaffer something next season.
Pirlo is said to be trying to reunite Real Madrid playmaker Isco with Ronaldo in a bid to get the most out of the Portuguese.
And the sale of Ramsey could go some way to helping that move happen.
