The fan favourite - who has endured three-arm breaks in recent years - is now officially out of contract and expected to leave the UFC.

And 12 Gauge looked very emotional ahead of her final bout as she made her seemingly final ring walk to the octagon.

Following her two minute spell in the cage, PVZ was on the verge of tears again as she was submitted by Ribas.

She has since taken to Instagram to confirm that she will be considering her options immediately after the bout.

Paige wrote: “Congrats to Amanda on such an amazing performance.

“It was truly an honor [sic] to share the octagon with you. As for me, I will rise up as I always do. I can’t wait to see where God takes me next.”

One fan tweeted: "Great arm bar by Ribas, Paige looked emotional entering the octagon and I can see her being done and moving on to better things."

A switch to WWE could be among those 'better things' for PVZ following her complaints at the lack of money she received in UFC.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s  claims she has already held talks with WWE officials.

And she came close to appearing at SummerSlam several years ago.

VanZant even met WWE's Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon during the global tech conference Web Summit taking place in Portugal in 2018.

Speaking about a potential cross-over previously, VanZant said: "I also think the WWE is an amazing organisation and it’s a very athletic entertainment industry which would suit me.

"There’s probably huge potential for a crossover down the line and of course I’m a big fan of what they do, so it would be great to be a part of."
