Chelsea transfer news: Nemanja Matic set to join Juventus in £20million move as Juan Cuadrado could return

NEMANJA MATIC looks set to quit Chelsea in a £20million move to Juventus, according to reports.

The Serbian midfield enforcer was one of the stars of Jose Mourinho's title-winning side last season.

But he has been one of many flops at Stamford Bridge this season as Mourinho was replaced with Guus Hiddink.

And his place in the side looks under threat as Juan Cuadrado will be returning from the Turin club - who he has helped to the Serie A title - following his successful season-long loan, say the Daily Star.

Colombian Cuadrado will be given another chance to impress by incoming boss Antonio Conte.

Juventus recently held discussions with Chelsea bosses over transfers.

And the mutual good feeling leaves the door open for Matic - a £21m signing from Benfica in January 2014 - to head to Italy after notching just five starts in the past two months.

And although the club will be making a slight loss on the 27-year-old, Blues chiefs think Cuadrado has proved himself under Max Allegri to warrant a return.

His comeback and Matic's departure will mark the beginning of a phase of major rebuilding in West London when the current Italy manager takes charge.

Conte is said to be willing to listen to offers for Brazilian midfield star Oscar.

And he is not thought to be totally sold on the idea of Spain's Diego Costa leading his attacking line.

The striker continues to be a source of controversy after he was allegedly poked in the eye by Tottenham's Mousa Dembele during Monday's stormy 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge which gifted Leicester the Premier League title.

John Obi Mikel has had an offer from Turkey that he could be encouraged to take.

And Blues legend John Terry is set to leave the club as his contract will not be renewed.

Conte, however, is keen to hold on to Eden Hazard, who scored the equaliser against Spurs and looked more like the former PFA Player of the Year.

And Thibaut Courtois insists he will stay at the club.

He said: "I have a contract for three years, so I will say 100 per cent I will stay.

"I have never had any contact with PSG. I like playing in England. Paris is a very good club but I am happy at Chelsea."
