Grigor Dimitrov reveals he’s tested positive for coronavirus with Adria Tour final involving Novak Djokovic cancelled
NOVAK DJOKOVIC'S Adria Tour has been cancelled after Grigor Dimitrov revealed he's tested positive for coronavirus.
Dimitrov, 29, confirmed the news on Sunday just one day after pulling out of the tournament following his defeat to Borna Coric in Zadar, Croatia.
Adria Tour organisers then revealed on court that the entire event had been scrapped as a result.
The announcement came moments before superstar Novak Djokovic was set to face Andrey Rublev in the final.
Both players have been in contact with Dimitrov during the Tour, which included Alexander Zverev, Martin Cilic, Danilo Petrovic, Pedja Krstin and Nino Serdarusic.
In fact, Djokokovic and Dmitrov were pictured dancing topless together last weekend in Serbia.
Bulgarian ace Dimitrov confirmed his positive test on Instagram, telling followers: “Hi everyone. I want to reach out and let my fans and friends know that I tested positive back in Monaco for Covid-19.
“I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during these past days gets tested and takes the necessary precautions.
“I am so sorry for any harm I might have caused.
“I am back home now and recovering.
“Thanks for your support and please stay safe and healthy.”
