Floyd Mayweather trolled for wearing £5k Louis Vuitton jacket with matching bags sewn on at Super Bowl 2020
FLASH Floyd Mayweather was hit with bags of abuse by fans after for wearing a £5,000 Louis Vuitton jacket with wallets and purses sewn into it.
'Money' lived up to his nickname when attending last night's Super Bowl in Miami.
The 50-0 boxer retired with a perfect record - and absolute mountains of cash after pocketing £706million throughout his career.
That earned him the distinction of being the highest-paid athlete of the 2010s.
And he has gained the right to spend his money exactly how he wants, even if it is not to everyone's taste.
Mayweather, 42, oversaw the Kansas City Chiefs' brilliant comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers from what looked like an exclusive box behind one of the posts.
He posed proudly in his jacket - which is called the Monogram Admiral Jacket and available for £4,850 - before posting the photo to his 23million Instagram followers.
According to Louis Vuitton's official site, the jacket "embodies accessomorphosis, whereby accessories and garments blend into one".
The snap earned nearly one million likes in nine hours.
But among the likes were a number of comments mocking his choice of attire.
One wrote: "Why do you wanna walk around looking like a leather bag."
Another said: "This guy is wearing a purse."
One, opting for a more philosophical tone, opined: "Lord fill the void in his heart and spirit with things that money can't buy."
A fellow user rapped: "Clearly money doesn't buy taste!! Looks like he attached a bunch of fanny packs, wallets, makeup cases to his jacket! Just cause it's expensive and LV doesn't mean you look good in it."
One quipped: "Looks like he ain't trying to pay those airline luggage prices."

While another bluntly posted: "You look like an absolute idiot."
Not that Mayweather - who has been lined up to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in Saudi Arabia - could care less.
He's retired and living the high life - but could make a shock return to take on Manny Pacquiao, who is desperate for a rematch.
