the 'Notorious' was being probed over a second sexual assault claim in his home country.

A spokesman for McGregor denied the accusations.

And during an interview with ESPN last night, the ex-two weight world champion spoke about the "serious" allegations for the first time.

Asked about them, McGregor said: “Look, just no, I can’t say anything about this. It just has to take place, right.”

He was then asked whether the claims “bother him” by host Ariel Helwani.

McGregor asked back: “Would it bother you?”.

The famous MMA reporter replied “yes” to which McGregor replied: “There you go.

“But time, time, patience. Patience is a skill we must master.

“Patience is one of the most valuable skills a human being must master.

“I’m working hard to master it and I feel I’m getting there, so time, time will show all.

“That’s it, right now I’m focused on the bout, focused on positivity, good thoughts.

“I’ll say a prayer for those who try and curse me, try and bring harm to me with these type of thing, that’s it.”

LOVE CHILD CLAIMS

McGregor - who makes his UFC return against Cowboy Cerrone this weekend - was asked again during the hour-long interview whether he denied all the allegations against him.

He said: “Yes, of course, of course. Yes, f***ing hell. Come on. You serious like?

“Time, time, please just time. That’s all. Time will reveal all. Time will tell all. That’s it.”

McGregor, 31, also spoke about how he was plagued over claims he had fathered a love child conceived during the Grand National.

He added: “Two-and-a-half-years that situation was going on for, that was a tough one for a while, yeah.

“It is what it is, there you go. It’s not mine.”
