THE BDO World Darts Championships has suffered further embarrassment, with fans likening the coverage's woeful camera work to something from Phoenix Nights or Bullseye.

A clip has circulated from Wayne Warren's first round victory over Justin Thompson, in which the feed is all over the place.

With Warren up at the oche in the third set, the feed suddenly jumps to his opponent walking back to his seat behind him.

Fans then missed seeing where the dart had hit the board.

The feed then scurries back to the board, then missing Warren's next throw.

The clip finishes with the camera farcically wobbling around the board, leaving fans unable to properly see the action.

The coverage, broadcast by Eurosport, was panned by fans on social media.

One wrote: "The camera work at the BDO this year is comical #BDOWorldChampionships #watchouttrottersabout".

While another replied: "Surely that's a rerun of Bullseye on Gold - non darts player to throw first".

And Bullseye wasn't the only TV comedy it was compared to: "Why are the cameras pointing at the players and not the board when they're throwing. This coverage is like something out of Phoenix Nights!"

Another fan joked: "Are the BDO that skint they've sold their TV cameras? Looks like it's being filmed on a LG cookie".

And another put their thoughts on the event bluntly: "What have they done to the BDO World Championships this year ?? I've stopped watching as it's so poor, dark venue, no atmosphere, terrible camera action . Such a shame".

This hasn't been the first embarrassment suffered by the event this year.

Having moved to the O2 Arena this year, TV cameras picked up a sparsely populated venue - with it transpiring that just 900 people turned up to an afternoon session earlier this week.
