BOXER Tyson Fury had to be dramatically restrained by WWE security as he was taunted by Braun Strowman in a shock Smackdown appearance last night.

The former World Heavyweight champ - who's awaiting his planned rematch with Deontay Wilder - sparked rumours he's eyeing a switch to pro-wrestling with the surprise cameo.

Fury sat ringside at the much-hyped Smackdown show in Los Angeles' Staple Centre as the brand debuted on the Fox TV network.

But the Gypsy King was more than just a spectator during the eight-man tag-team match.

He quickly found himself in the middle of the action as the team of Heavy Machinery, The Miz and Strowman took on Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler.

After Strowman bulldozed through his opposition outside the ring, the 6ft 8in beast turned his attention to Brit boxing hero Tyson, 31.

Smiling Strowman then put his fists up in a mock-boxing pose - which was matched by a willing Fury to the delight of fans.

But Strowman appeared to say something to Fury that irked the boxing legend.

He then threw a dazed Ziggler at the barrier where Fury was standing - causing the 6ft 9in goliath to topple over.

Fury then lived up to his name and exploded with rage - stunning fans as he leapt over the guard rail and tried to get in the ring.

It took at least a dozen burly security guards to restrain the 18st giant.

SENDS FANS INTO FRENZY

The clash may have been a pre-planned stunt - but it will send fans into a frenzy of speculation about Fury's potential future in WWE.

Should he move into wrestling, he would follow fellow boxing giants Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather - both of whom have swapped boxing shorts for spandex in the past.

Tyson kept the rumour mill spinning with a series of Tweets about his appearance.

He retweeted one fan who wrote: "Tyson Fury was meant for the WWE."

Maybe the boxer believes so too.
