Notorious, 31, has not fought since that defeat in Las Vegas, although he has been made no secret of his desire for another shot at the 28-0 superstar.

Now the Dagestani fighter’s dad has weighed in on a potential showdown.

And he claims his son wants McGregor inside the cage again – only this time in Russia.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov told YouTube channel Zhivina100: “If McGregor wants it, then Moscow is waiting for him.

“He said once that he has more fans here than Khabib.

“We want to host him in Moscow, he is welcome – we are waiting.”

A huge melee ensued after their first clash when Khabib scaled the Octagon to attack McGregor's team-mate Dillon Danis, sparking chaos both inside and outside of the cage.

That resulted in both fighters received bans and getting issued with fines.

Khabib stretched his unbeaten record last month as he defeated Dustin Poirier with a rear-naked choke in Abu Dhabi last month.

And just last week he admitted he is willing to go to prison over his “war” with McGregor as he insisted their rivalry “will never be finished”.

But he told the former two-weight champ to forget about a rematch unless he embarked on an impressive winning run.

Khabib told : "Even [the October fight] did not finish it, Just to smash people is not enough. I talk about just smash only him? It’s not enough. We have to smash all his team.

“This is what I think before the fight. This is what I say to my team: ‘Hey, tonight, we’re going to war; this is not about a fight.’

“It will never be finished, ever. Even if we see (each other) somewhere, we’re going to fight, 100 per cent.

“It doesn't matter if someone goes to jail or something like this. I'm not scared about this - they go to hospital and we go to police. That's it.”

He added: “This guy has to come back and make nine or 10-fight win streak, then we going to fight.

“I want to fight real guys - Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, maybe if one of the greatest athletes ever, George St-Pierre, wants to fight.

“I want to fight those guys. I don't want to fight with a guy who never wins.”
