But this Apple deal is an exciting one, since it's rare to see the 2nd-generation AirPods Pro drop to as little as £179.

In fact, this is only the second time they've ever been this cheap (the last time was during the July Prime Day sale).

And in case that price still feels steep, keep in mind that these iconic, noise-cancelling beauties cost £249 when they were released.

Sean Keach, The Sun's Technology Editor, first tried out the AirPods Pro when they hit the market in September 2022.

In his AirPods Pro review, Sean heaped praise on these high-end earbuds, but admitted the price tag was a little eye-watering.

'Not everyone will be willing to pay [£249],' he writes. 'But the noise-cancelling, extensive features and general quality are unmatched at this price point.'

Now they're £70 cheaper, these industry-leading earbuds have moved into more affordable territory.

This might be the excuse lots of shoppers are looking for to finally invest, especially with Christmas round the corner.
