Amazon slashes ‘game-changer’ robot vacuum from £244 to £110 in stunning Prime Day deal
AMAZON Prime Day is in full swing - and there are a dizzying number of robot vacuum deals to choose from.
One of the biggest price drops is on the Eufy RoboVac 15C, which has been given a massive 55% discount and is now just £109.99.
Eufy RoboVac 15C, £109.99 (was £244)
That's an enormous price drop on a device from one of the biggest robot vacuum manufacturers on the market, and probably why it's one of the right now.
Amid the thousands of items that have been reduced for Prime subscribers over the last 36 hours, some of the most exciting deals have been on household appliances like , and, yes, robot vacuums.
Believe it or not, these little devices have been buzzing around the consumer market for almost 30 years now. But it's only in the last decade or so that they've boomed in popularity.
MORE PRIME DAY DEALS
That's largely down to two things: firstly, the tech has drastically improved (far less collisions these days), and secondly, prices have fallen dramatically.
The is very much a budget device, and doesn't have some of the fancier features you'll see in pricier vacs, such as laser-mapping and a self-emptying bin.
(If you're looking for a robo-vac with these capabilities, scroll down this page to see more Prime Day recommendations for higher-end robot vacuums that The Sun's Shopping team has tested and reviewed.)
But if you're after a reliable, no-frills piece of kit that will supplement your handheld vacuum, you could honestly do a lot worse than the Eufy 15C.
It will move seamlessly between carpets and hard floors, and has an advertised running time of 100 minutes (that's certainly a lot longer than I manage at vacuuming before losing the will to live).
You can operate it with Alexa voice control, though really, all the magic will happen in the EufyHome app on your smartphone.
Here, you can schedule the vac to operate at certain times of the day - when you're out at work, for example - and to operate at different suction strengths.
Shoppers by and large seem really happy with this device: the RoboVac 15C has been given an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 on the Amazon website.
'I have been using this vacuum cleaner for about three weeks and it does a superb job,' writes one customer. 'I live in a very dusty old 1950s flat and the carpets are now cleaner than they have been in years.. it's actually helped increase the air quality in my flat.
'Even though the vacuum is round, it manages to clean edges very well.'
Another buyer, who calls it a 'game-changer and pet-friendly,' goes on to say: 'We have a cat... I would see dust, fur and litter everywhere and was embarrassed of my home.
'[But] now we turn on the Eufy every morning downstairs and it whirls around cleaning... For the money, it’s 100% worth it and I’m recommending it to everyone.'
If you needed any further recommendations, I suspect it would be that absurd £134 price drop - just remember, this discount is only available if you're .
Amazon Prime Day runs until midnight tonight (Wednesday 17th July), so make sure you act fast if you want to pick up this little gadget while it's on offer.
