WHEN out for drinks one crisp winter evening, my friends and I started discussing our favourite sex toys — because us girls need to stick together when it comes to the orgasm gap — and one of them told me I absolutely had to do a We-Vibe review.
Cut to a few days later and a flexible, waterproof clitoral and g-spot simulator arrives at my door.
The We-Vibe x Lovehoney Remote Control Vibrator has been designed in a U shape (like previous offerings such as the We-Vibe Sync and ) so it can be used with a partner, although it works just as well solo.
With 10 settings that can be controlled by either party using a separate remote, this little toy can add some unpredictability to your sex life — or it can just give you (and your partner) a really good orgasm.

We-Vibe review: quick summary
This collaboration is a great place to start if you’ve not really tried out a sex toy either alone or with a partner before.
The device itself is small and discreet. The arm (for lack of a better description) is only three inches long, because it has been designed to be inserted during sex so both parties can benefit from the vibrations.
It is worth pointing out that those vibrations aren’t particularly strong, so I’d say this is best if you’re erring on the slightly sensitive side and aren’t looking for anything really intense.
Whether you’re using it alone or in a pair, you’ll get external stimulation from the flatter end that curves round, sitting at the top of the vulva and over the clitoris, as well as from the arm that goes inside, for the holy grail of orgasms – the blended one.
Click through the 10 settings either on the toy itself or using the Bluetooth connected remote control, for a variety of waves, vibrations, patterns and speeds.

Don’t be shy using the device both on dry land and in the bath, shower or any other appropriate body of water because it’s 100% waterproof, although the remote isn’t so it’s best not to get that wet.
A key point: because this is an internal toy, it really needs to be cleaned after every use, but that shouldn’t be a problem because of the latex-free, body proof silicone that it’s made from. You can buy a
The We-Vibe x Lovehoney isn't battery controlled which is a plus for the environment, but it does take two hours to fully charge up for 90 minutes of use which, granted, is probably more than you’ll need in one go, but worth noting if you want to jump straight in as soon as it arrives.
This toy is discreet and can sit comfortably inside while your partner controls it with the remote (if you’ve seen that excruciating scene from The Ugly Truth, you’ll know what I’m getting at) but, although it’s quiet enough to use in your bedroom without housemates and the like hearing, it’s likely too loud to use out and about. But I’ll leave that judgement down to you.
We Vibe review: full review
If I were to sum up this vibrator in a single word it would be discreet. It arrived speedily in a normal cardboard box, with no branding on the outside which was a good start. When I opened the box that the toy was housed in, I was met with a small, sleek, U-shaped device with a singular button on the front, a charging cable and a remote control.
If you’ve read my Lelo Sona or Womanizer reviews you’ll know I’m a big advocate of an instruction manual, and although this does come with a small leaflet that uses images to guide you through the initial charging and cleaning, how to turn the device on and off, how to use it and how to connect the remote control, I found the information a little lacking because it was almost exclusively conveyed using drawings.
However, being the trooper that I am, I ploughed on and easily figured out how the vibrator worked. The charger is magnetic, so it’s worth keeping the toy on a flat surface for the two hours it takes to charge otherwise it can unclip. Once it’s fully charged, the toy lasts for around 90 minutes before it needs to be plugged back in again.
Made from body-proof and latex-free silicone, it is easy to clean which is an absolute must because you’re using it internally. Once you’ve given the vibrator a clean, hook up the Bluetooth linked remote control by holding down the buttons on the device and the remote for a few seconds and then you’re ready to go.
Although it’s called a couples vibrator, I think using it exclusively with a partner doesn’t make the most of its full potential because this a brilliant toy for your solo sessions, especially if you’re new to the sex toy game.
The arm that goes inside is only three inches long and quite thin, which isn’t intimidating in a way some other internal toys can be. And it does the job. Add a partner to the mix and it intensifies the whole experience.
Designed for clitoral and g-spot stimulation, the flat end of the ‘U’ wraps around and pulses vibrations to the clitoris and top of the vulva while the arm sends vibrations inside. The device is flexible so it can be adjusted to suit the position that’s best for you, because as we know, no two bodies are the same.
