AFTER testing the iRobot Roomba Combo j5+, I can honestly say it’s one of the most efficient cleaning gadgets I’ve ever used.

That's a stunning deal for anyone looking to make their cleaning routine easier and more hands-free.

I’ll admit, I was sceptical about the idea of getting a robot vacuum. Would it really perform as well as a traditional vacuum?

Surely it would get stuck in corners and miss spots? Or crash into furniture?

But, as you can read in my iRobot Roomba J5+ review, I was pleasantly surprised when I set this little helper to work at home.

It doesn’t just randomly wander around your home: it maps out your space, avoiding obstacles like furniture, cables, even pet bowls.

I look after a dog who sheds fur constantly, and this little machine has no problem tackling all the hair, crumbs, and dirt that seem to magically appear every day.

It's also astonishingly versatile: not only does it vacuum, but it also mops hard floors, taking care of two chores in one go.

It has two different modes for carpets and hard floors, which is perfect for my house as we’ve got a mix of both.

If you’re on the fence about investing in a robot vacuum, you could do far worse that investing in the J5 - especially as it's over 50% cheaper right now.

There's only one caveat: the model I tested is the J5+, which comes with a self-emptying bin. The one on sale doesn't.
