High energy bills and the cost of living mean we’re all looking for ways to spend less, so anything that saves money is worth considering.

Consumer guru Martin Lewis has lots of tips and ideas for on the Money Saving Expert website, including using electric blankets and even a heated gilet (there's currently one on sale on Amazon).

The is listed by Amazon on its page, so savvy shoppers love it.

It’s a great size for snuggling under and it’s now on sale for just £29.99 at Amazon – 25% less than the regular price.

“I swear by heated throws! I use mine all the time for whenever I'm sat down for any period of time,” says one of the website’s money savers.

“I rarely use my central heating and find I can do without when I'm under one of these.”

The large size of this Keplin heated throw is perfect for snuggling under on the sofa in the evening, or for draping over your knees as you’re sat at your desk working.

One side is soft grey velour-like fleece, while the other is cosy cream sherpa fleece.

It has nine heat levels, so you can mix it up from low to high depending on the room temperature and it has a timer you can set for up to nine hours, before it automatically switches off.

The blanket is also machine washable at up to 40° (once you’ve removed the electric cable).

Several other colour combinations are available, but the price you pay depends on the option chosen.

On the Amazon website, shoppers love how warm the throw is.
