When is Black Friday 2024?
Black Friday falls slightly later this year on Friday 29 November.
The annual shopping event always takes place on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the US, which is 28th November.
Thanksgiving is traditionally the fourth Thursday in November, which means Black Friday is usually the fourth Friday in November, though this year it is marked on the fifth Friday in November because of the way the calendar falls.
The sale has its roots in the US but is now a worldwide phenomenon, no longer lasting for just one day.

Is Glossier taking part in Black Friday this year?
Glossier has yet to confirm if it will definitely be taking part in the Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, or when.
However, we anticipate it will stick to tradition and join in the Black Friday fun.
Glossier is expecting to offer a range of products at discounted rates, though what products they will be we will find out closer to the sale day.
We are on the lookout for the biggest discounts and worthy investments to shop in Black Friday.
What to expect from Glossier’s Black Friday sale 2024
If previous years are anything to go by we can expect huge discounts on Glossier products both online and in store.
Glossier previously offered shoppers 25% off sitewide in previous years, which we hope will be repeated for Black Friday 2024.
Glossier also launched a further discount in former years, and we can only hope that is a tradition the beauty brand will practice once again this year.
The beauty brand also let subscribers gain early access to its Black Friday sale to shop their favourite items in advance of the general sale.

When is Cyber Monday and is Glossier taking part?
Cyber Monday concludes the Black Friday shopping weekend.
When is Cyber Monday? This year it falls on Monday 2 December, which is a little later than previous years.
Last year, Glossier's deals remained active until 23:59 on Cyber Monday and saw a ramp up from Black Friday, with beauty fanatics being able to get 30% off site-wide.
2023 also saw three new added to the site, with more new holiday product drops set to go live in October.
