Adanola leggings review: I tried the viral leggings Maya Jama loves and these are my honest thoughts
LEGGINGS come in various styles, with an array of lengths, waist heights, fabrics, and added details available.
These can include four-way stretch, butt lifting, flared; there are even some infused with caffeine claiming to combat cellulite.
Ultimate Leggings, £39.99 from Adanola
I live in leggings, whether I'm running errands, literally running, working from home or practising pilates. You name it; they are the staple I can never get enough of.
I've tried Adanola's viral leggings, the Ultimate Leggings, which are beloved by celebrities including Maya Jama and Kendall Jenner, to see if they provide the support and necessary comfort they claim.
One of my pet peeves is when athleisure brands unnecessarily bump up prices, so I'm eager to see how affordable Adanola fairs compares to rival labels.

Adanola leggings review: how I tested
I've been testing the Adanola leggings for a few months to see how durable, supportive and comfortable they are when working out, running errands, and lounging at home.
I have worn the leggings to different fitness classes to see if they provide the necessary coverage when working out, and ensure they are non-slip. I've also run in them to see how they fare against other leggings I own.
I've worn them almost daily around the house to see if they are comfortable enough to wear for hours on end, or if the elastic waistband digs in.
Stylistically, I would prefer some tweaks, though, and if I were to buy them again I'd opt for a tall so that they reach my ankles.
First impressions of Adanola leggings
I have never purchased anything from before, but have envied anyone wearing the brand.
The jumpers and sweatshirts have been hugely popular online and among celebrities, as well as the co-ord sets, and, of course, the leggings. So, I succumbed to the trend and thought I'd try the brand.
Finding a pair of seam-free leggings that cinch you in all the right places, without exposing you or digging in to cause discomfort, is no easy feat.
I get the hype. They are one of the best pairs of leggings I own.
As previously mentioned, it's rare to find me in anything other than leggings, whether I am working from home, travelling, working out or running errands. I've even been known to pair them with an oversized blazer and heels when I go out.
It goes without saying that I never like a waistband that digs in, but the thick waistband, combined with the super high rise waist, cinches you in, flattens the silhouette, but is still comfortable to wear.
I'd even go as far as to say these are one of the best high waisted leggings I have worn.
Speaking of waistbands, these leggings don't feature drawstrings, which I personally prefer; they don't need the extra feature because they do not fall down.
The one complaint I have is the leggings are a regular fit, and said to reach the ankle, but for me — around 5'10" — the leggings come a little further up the calf, almost like a 7/8 design. If you prefer a longer length opt for a tall.
If I'm being super picky, I would also like a Tala-esque pocket at the back of these leggings, but having said that, you can shop .
Why is everyone wearing Adanola?
There has been a huge hype around Adanola, and for many reasons.
The brand has not only received high praise from shoppers, but has also been worn on celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Maya Jama, Hailey Bieber, and even Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Are Adanola leggings stretchy?
Yes, Adanola leggings are stretchy. The recycled polyamide and elastane blend fabric provides a four-way stretch, which makes them squat proof and provides the necessary coverage leggings lovers lust after.
The waistband, though thick, also has stretch to fit all frames, to provide support without digging in.
Does Adanola run small?
Having never shopped at Adanola before I was unsure how the sizing would be, especially as I am often in between sizes.
However, Adanola website details the leggings run true to size, and I can confirm they do.
I opted for a small, as I am usually a UK 10 in trousers and bottoms, and it fitted perfectly. It hugged the waist and my legs without any gaping.
However, if you are a tall girl I would say these leggings run slightly short, so opt for the tall version if you like extra length.
Adanola leggings review: the verdict
I have been pleasantly surprised by Adanola, and would rate them highly, so much so I would even rank them among the best gym leggings I have tried, as well as everyday leggings more broadly.
Initially I was curious about the brand because there has been such a big hype around the label, and I wondered if it was more style than substance, but I have been proved wrong.
I am impressed with how snug and supportive they are, especially for the price, which is less than other rival athleisure brands.
My only bug bear is that to make these leggings fit I would need to opt for the tall version.

Having said that I still live in these leggings day to day, I just hoist up the leggings around the calf so they resemble more of a 7/8 length, and I would continue to shop more products from the popular label.
