CHARLOTTE TILBURY'S multi-purpose face palette was one of the first Charlotte Tilbury products we bought.

But there's a new kid on the block from Collection, which could save you more, which is always a tempting factor.

The similar to the Charlotte Tilbury designs, and both feature four shades that can be used as a bronzer, blusher, highlighter, and even an eyeshadow if you wish.

The Collection comes in two shades, Make Me Matte and Glow Up.

Both palettes include a light highlighter; Make Me Matte is more pearlescent, while the Glow Up is a golden hue.

The Collection palettes also feature a bronzer and two rosy blushes; the Make Me Matte palette is of course matte versions of those three shades, while the Glow Up features the same shades but in a shimmer version.

The powders in both Collection palettes can be applied seamlessly on the skin to add colour to the cheeks and highlight and contour the face to accentuate the bone structure.

While the Collection palettes together combine matte and shimmery shades, the Charlotte Tilbury palettes are a combination of both finishes, though we expect nothing less from the beauty mogul who is synonymous with creating a luminous finish.

While all of the palettes are designed for the cheeks, I also apply the soft finishing powders on the eyelids for a pop of colour and to brighten my complexion a little more.

Charlotte Tilbury's products have a strong pigment, and the same applies to Collections palettes, however, I would say the Charlotte Tilbury powders are slightly more potent than Collection's - a little goes a long way.

Pillow Talk Beautifying Face Palette

also comes in two shades, fair and medium, as well as medium and deep, though the former has sold out due to popular demand.

Over the years has launched limited edition palettes, one of which I still use (the which has since sold out),

The features four hues inspired by the legendary Pillow Talk shade; according to the Charlotte Tilbury website, one Pillow Talk product is sold every minute.

I have loved the Glowgasm palette from Charlotte Tilbury for many years as it instantly adds a glowy finish to my make-up look

The light/medium set features a matte blusher in a soft pink shade, a peach-pink matte blusher, a warm golden shimmer, as well as a deeper rose gold shimmer, which is ideal to use as a highlighter on the high points of the face.

While the medium/deep palette features the same shades, but replaces the peach pink blusher for a berry matte hue.

The Charlotte Tilbury powders glide onto the skin and are velvety soft, buildable and budge-proof.

The main difference, aside from the major price difference, is Charlotte Tilbury's palettes include a mirror inside the compact.

This makes it super easy to apply on the go and to take when travelling - in fact, this palette is all you need (plus, a touch of concealer if you're like me and suffer from dark under-eye circles.)

Collection's palette in shade one is the most universal and includes matte shades, though the pearlescent hue has an added shimmer

Though the palette may be missing the mirror, you can invest in a small compact to take on the go and it would still cost you less than one Charlotte Tilbury palette.

I am a longstanding fan of both Charlotte Tilbury and Collection, Collection was where I bought my first ever concealer, bronzer and clear mascara in my early teens, so I can trust it is gentle on the skin.

But Charlotte Tilbury's new lip glosses, the iconic Pillow Talk range, especially the lipstick, are always a favourite and I refuse to leave the house without.

The Collection palette in shade two is much more sparkly and most similar to some of Charlotte Tilbury's glittery make-up products

However, forced to pick one favourite I would have to say I personally prefer the .

While they are well pigmented, I have more control over the colour and opacity when I am applying them on my skin, and they are slightly more subtle than the Charlotte Tilbury designs.

The is a bit more subtle and suited for everyday wear, while Glow Up is most like Charlotte Tilbury's shimmery shades, which are sparkly, illuminating and pigmented.

Plus, the £52 price difference definitely helps.
