BARGAIN!

I spent £250 on Amazon’s 32-inch Fire TV, it was worth every penny but is now on sale for £180

AMAZON has reduced prices on its Fire TV range, including the 32-inch 2-Series set, which I picked up last year.

I originally spent £249.99 on this fantastic little budget telly, but in the store's Spring Sale you can pick it up for just £179.99. That's an absolute bargain.

Amazon Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series, £249.99 £179.99

I picked this smart TV up last year at the full original price. I'm kicking myself now but I'll admit that even at that cost it was still worth every penny.

This is a 32-inch model that comes with a 720p display, which I admit, I was dubious about. Surely we all expect a 4K TV these days?

Actually, at this small size, your eyes can't appreciate Ultra HD picture quality so it makes no difference.

Though it falls into the budget TV category, I can't fault its display or audio.

Even 12 months on, it's as vibrant and crystal-clear as it was fresh out of the box.

Setting up this beauty and getting to grips with it took no time either — in fact, the Fire platform is one of the most intuitive I've ever used.

It comes with the Alexa Voice Remote, which you can command at the push of a button and use just like Echo devices.

I use it mostly to find content and quickly access apps, but once you get used to it, it becomes surprisingly handy for navigating the platform.

(And yes, that's an you can spot next to the remote in the picture above - I'm something of an Amazon device enthusiast.)

You'll also notice the quick action buttons for major streaming platforms on the remote, including Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ - all of which I use daily.

Now, with the launch of the sale, you'll find it .

A TV with these features, now way under £200, looks like the ideal choice for anybody looking for a simple, reliable TV for a smaller size, like a kitchen countertop or a bedroom.

While I'm, naturally, a big fan of my Fire TV 2-Series, you'll also find the next-generation 4-Series and Omni TV ranges on offer.

I'd recommend looking into the or the , both excellent 4K option and both on sale.

These are higher-spec tellies with 4K screens and in the case of the Omni range, QLED picture tech that we first saw in Samsung's line of top-end TVs.

If you've got the extra spend, it's well worth checking them out as alternatives.

That said, both these variants go up to 55-inches and 65-inches respectively. So, if you're seeking a cinematic experience, these options are definitely for you.

For those who might be torn between the two, I've laid out a comparison in my Amazon Fire TV Omni Series vs Fire TV 4-Series explainer, to help you make the right choice for your needs.

If the rival Sky smart TV has caught your attention, I've also compared it against the best Fire TV in my Sky Glass vs Amazon Fire TV Omni explainer.

And for those wondering, my Fire TV is mounted to the , which incidentally, has also seen a hefty discount in the Spring sale.
