Honor Magic V2: Design, features and specs
The most eye-catching feature of the Magic V2 is, of course, its foldability. Its predecessor, the Magic V, was the first in Honor’s line of folding mobiles.
Whilst folded, Honor’s latest smartphone functions just like any typical handset, with a front-facing OLED screen that measures 6.43 inches.
Then, when you unfold the V2, the inner screen opens up to a display that measures 7.92 inches in width. (Gaming fans, take note: both screens have a 120Hz refresh rate.)
That extra-large interior display isn’t just intended for single use (though we expect a lot of owners will appreciate streaming from Netflix without the need for glasses).
Honor’s Parallel Space feature lets you operate two different apps split across the fold-out screen - a setup that takes smartphone multitasking to a whole new level.
But perhaps more impressive are the slim dimensions of the overall device: it measures just 9.9mm in depth when folded and 4.7mm when unfolded, and weighs just 231g.
Most foldable phones are big and clunky by necessity, but the Magic V2 bucks the trend.
Under the hood, this latest addition to Honor range is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a processor that has won accolades across the tech industry.
The rear camera setup involves a 48MP main lens, 10.8MP ultra-wide lens and 10.8MP telephoto lens, and uses the same AI-powered Falcon Capture function that we last reported on in the flagship Magic5 Pro when it launched last April.
