The multi-purpose and easy to use ethos of the brand is ideal for low maintenence beauty lovers who are short on time.

Having already tried out some of the new solo shadow shades, we can tell you that the cream-to-powder formula is like nothing we’ve tried before.

Transforming from a buttery formula, to a blendable fine powder when blended in, this is one new must-have makeup item you won’t want to miss out on.

The come in neutral shades: Brun (deep brown), Midcentury (warm brown), Vachetta (warm beige) and Studio (cool taupe).

As well as statement shades: Nelson (soft grey), Social (soft mauve), Viper (warm green), and Midnight (classic navy).

Each shadow is formulated with ingredients that include chamomile and calendula extracts that are rich in antioxidants, and sunflower seed oil which is known to nourish the skin.

I tried out the shades Social, Brun, Midnight and Midcentury.

Each shade works really well on its own, which is handy if you want to recreate viral makeup looks from TikTok’s favourite bronzy latte makeup trend or Hailey Bieber’s 'Strawberry Girl makeup'.

As Merit Beauty products intend, each shadow takes seconds to blend and they are also a great choice when used as a base before applying a shimmer on top.

A big fan of the brush too!

I’m not a stranger to using my fingertips when applying eyeshadow, but Merit has also launched a that can be used too.

It’s double-ended, with a fluffy tapered end for extra precise application along the lash line.

I just know the solo shadows will be flying off the shelves, so I can’t wait to stock up on the other shades.
