But, more importantly, those boxes of pre-loved clothes will be tested to ensure they are good quality to be given a second life, which, once passed, will be passed on to Oxfam stores, as well as the pre-loved

Not only are you helping to act and shop more sustainability, but you'll also be able to - and we all know how expensive that time of year can be.

Those who are shopping for the pre-loved uniforms on Oxfam or eBay will see funds donated to the Oxfam charity, which prides itself on tackling poverty and inequality across the globe.

It doesn't stop there.

If the clothes donated do not meet the requirements and pass the examination, they're not wasted.

Instead of being donated to be resold, they are recycled or reused where possible.

M&S' school uniforms have been recognised as the number one best uniform based on value for money in a study found by YouGov.

Customers trust M&S' designs are made from good quality fabrics, without compromising the price.

In fact, M&S has revealed this is the third year in a row it has protected the price of school uniforms despite the cost of living, so you can kit your child out in the necessary clothes for school.

M&S uniforms are made using genius technology, such as stain-resistant fabrics, adjustable hems and waistbands, and are often made using recycled materials, all of which make them more eco-conscious, long-lasting and comfortable.

Speaking about the trio's collaboration, Alexandra Dimitriu - who is the Kidswear Director at M&S - shared: “At M&S, our clothing is too good to waste. Made with care and with innovative design features, our school uniform is super durable to ensure whatever your kids get up to on the playground, it can last the test of time.

"We know our customers frequently hand down our school uniform to friends and family and this season, we’re encouraging them to drop school uniforms which they no longer need into one of our new Shwopping boxes where it will be resold in Oxfam shops and through our exciting pilot shop with eBay.

"It’s one of the many ways we’re trying to make our best-in-class school uniform accessible to all families, however, and whenever they choose to shop.”

While Oxfam's Retail Director, Lorna Fallon, added: "The Back-to-School Shwopping scheme is a win-win initiative and a simple way for shoppers to make a huge difference.

"Donating pre-loved school uniforms through the scheme is not only better for the environment since it gives garments a longer lifecycle, it also raises funds for Oxfam’s life-saving work, and it helps parents here in the UK who may be struggling with the cost of kitting their children out for school.”

Thirdly, the Head of Pre-Loved Fashion at eBay, Lucy Peacock, weighed in, and said: “Every parent should be able to have access to a school uniform for their child at any age which is good quality and
fit for purpose.

"The cost-of-living crisis has created greater education poverty and an ever-increasing need for school uniforms. Together with M&S and Oxfam, we are proud to be able to pilot an e-commerce solution to help parents get access to pre-loved school uniforms across all corners of the UK.”
