Lottie London Hot Glaze Bronzing Drops, £8.95

The are one of brand's newest launches and it has been creating a bit of a stir since it hit shelves.

As the brand's first semi-permanent bronzing product, they're a great way to create a natural just-retuned-from-holiday glow, but there are cheaper alternatives out there.

Lottie London's results aren't as long-lasting (it only lasted until I washed my make-up off) but it did provide me with a similar instant, natural glow.

In contrast, Charlotte Tilbury's Beautiful Skin Island Glow Bronzing Drops gave me a glow for roughly three days.

Lottie London's drops are also a great canvas for base makeup, thanks to its hydrating formula featuring hyaluronic acid.

KIKO Cosmetics Glitter Shower Eyeshadow, £9.99

When it comes to eyeshadow, I'm all about minimal effort - I love a formula that can be daubed onto your eyelids, rather than faffing around with several shades and multiple brushes.

If the same rings true with you, then you've probably already had (£25) on your radar.

These bitesize eyeshadows are the perfect size for patting into your eyelids for an instant shot of colour and glitter.

I've been a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury's Pop Shots for a while, but I stumbled across a dupe last Christmas when my sister thrust her favourite KIKO Cosmetics eyeshadow into my hands.

At just £9.99, the have a number of the qualities of the Charlotte Tilbury alternative - they're perfectly glittery and easy to blend - at a fraction of the cost.

Whilst KIKO's glitter is finer than Charlotte Tilbury's - meaning it isn't quite as shimmering and has a more powdery texture- they are easy to build up for your desired look.

KIKO's Fine Wine shade is a stunning rose gold that is universally flattering and perfect for both the office and the bar.

I can often be found tapping it into my eyelids before rushing out the door.

E.L.F Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand, £9

As a beauty journalist, I've involuntarily become my friend's make-up agony aunt.

I'm always being asked for my verdict on viral products, but the question I keep getting asked is: "Are the (£30) any good?"

The simple answer is yes - if you like a bright, bold highlighter and are up for doing a lot of blending.

Personally, I find the formula a little too intense for me, so I tend to opt for a highlighter that isn't so pigmented.

When E.L.F announced it was launching similar (£9), I was sceptical.

However, I've been impressed - especially when you consider the whopping £21 difference in price.

Whilst E.L.F's packaging isn't quite as luxe (they can't be turned 'Off' like the Charlotte Tilbury alternatives can, meaning they can get quite messy), they deliver a satisfying glow and aren't too glowy.

My favourite shade is Champagne, which bronzes and highlights simultaneously.

I simply dab a couple of dots onto my cheekbones and blend by tapping with my finger. Voila!

Best dupe of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hydrator Mist

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist, £25

If your skin starts to feel tight and dry during the day, then it's time to look towards an on-the-go hydrator mist.

My skin used to feel incredibly dry halfway through the day (thanks, office air conditioning) before I started using (£35).

A couple of spritzes - over or under make-up - and my skin feels refreshed and rebalanced.

However, when I reached the bottom of my last bottle, I picked up (£25) on a bit of a whim.

Now, I'll be honest: I'm not a big fan of Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream, due to its thick texture and powerful scent, which didn't bode well for the Eight Hour Mist.

However, this mist is delicately scented and very lightweight, meaning it sinks into your skin after a few seconds.

Just like the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Hydrator Mist, it instantly hydrates and keeps skin feeling fresh all day long, thanks to being packed full of antioxidants and vitamins.

H&M Lengthening Mascara, £8.99

Mascara is - hands down - my favourite beauty product.

If I could only pack one make-up product for a weekend away, it would be my trusty mascara - as it can make me look wide awake in seconds.

Whilst I like the (£28) because it doesn't clump and keeps lashes lengthened all day long, I do think there are cheaper alternatives out there which are nearly as good.

H&M has recently revamped its beauty offerings, and I've been very impressed - especially by the (£8.99).

But before you get put off by a mascara that costs less than a couple of coffees, hear me out.

It is similar to the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push-Up Lashes, and its fine-tooth comb teases lashes to new heights without clumping or weighing them down.

The formula is easy to remove, too, but it also won't smudge easily - which is a win if you've got watery eyes like me.

NYX Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip Lip Gloss, £7.99

Trying the (£28) was never high on my agenda - after all, I've tried loads of lip oils, so what makes this one so special?

However, the first time I applied it to my lips, I gasped.

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Oil offers unparalleled shine and a glossy finish, without being sticky, so there's no risk of hair getting stuck to your lips on a windy day.

However, if you love it as much as I do, you'll get through it quickly, so it's worth looking into a cheaper alternative.

This is where the  (£7.99) comes in.

Whilst it's not as lightweight as Charlotte Tilbury's offering (it has a slightly stickier consistency), the NYX Fat Oil oil gives lips a satisfying shimmer that will stay put for longer than you'd expect.

After my first application, my lips felt hydrated and supple - so definitely worth the small £7.99 investment.
