Prince Harry given brutal nickname by palace staff based on buffoon character from classic BBC comedy

PRINCE Harry's brutal nickname based off a classic BBC comedy has been unveiled by palace staff.

Speaking to the author of a new royal book Yes, Ma'm: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, one staff member disclosed what it was like working for the Duke of Sussex.

They even compared The Duke of Sussex to The Prince Regent in the third season of the celebrated Blackadder television series.

They told author Tom Quinn: "The joke used to be that Harry was very much like the Prince Regent in the Blackadder television series."

"People used to say that without a servant, Harry would take two weeks to put on his own trousers.”

Hugh Laurie played The Prince Regent in Blackadder, as one of the three main characters of the third series.

As a character, The Prince Regent was portrayed as a dim-witted bumbling fool who spends money excessively.

According to The Times, the 40-year-old was prone to "flashes of irritation".

On one occasion, the staff member revealed they had "muddled" his papers in one of his "private apartments".

Prince Harry's "angry" reaction was completely "out of proportion", the staff member recalled.

They continued: "We thought it was a bit rich complaining about me being muddled, given that Harry was probably the most muddled of all the royals of his generation.

The Duchess of Sussex also received a nickname for turning Prince Harry into a "tree-hugging leftie".

An ex-staffer said: "Through absolutely no fault of her own, Meghan wasn't always great with her staff — she just wasn't used to it as Harry was.

"It's true that her nickname for a while was the Duchess of Difficult, but she had other, friendlier nicknames, including Mystic Meg, which came about because she was so new agey, so woke, about so many things."

Another former staffer described how Harry became increasingly more concerned "about social issues and the rights of minorities".

This only happened after Meghan's arrival and it was seen as "rejecting the values and traditions of his family".

The unnamed source said: "Some of the youngest staff at Kensington Palace would've applauded this, no doubt, but the older staff thought he'd become a tree-hugging leftie."

In recent news, Meghan was seen supporting her husband at the Invictus Games for wounded and sick service personnel and veterans.

The pair were seen at a Family and Friends Tubing event on day three of the games having fun in the snow before jetting home.

In a video, Meghan said: "No, no I really don’t want to do this."

Prince Harry is heard giggling in the background shouting "feet up, feet up, feet up".

But despite her husband's encouragement, the Duchess was heard squealing with fear before racing down the slope.

Thankfully, the couple were seen holding hands at the Family and Friends Tubing event.

They were both wrapped up warm for the freezing conditions as they made their way across the icy Whistler land.

Meghan is expected to attend several events throughout the day before flying back to the US later this evening.
