Making a case for timeless silhouettes and understated glamour, the Spencer twins, who spent their childhood in South Africa before moving to London in 2021, co-ordinated on the red carpet in visionary black dresses

The beautiful sisters stunned in elegant black gowns featuring sweetheart necklines, mimicking their aunt's most infamous number: the ‘revenge dress’.

Whilst they wore their blonde hair slicked back to the annual event at the Royal Albert Hall, they also rocked bright diamond necklaces to complement their looks.

Styled by Sian Gabari, Lady Amelia, who married long-term boyfriend Greg Mallett last year, beguiled in an off-the-shoulder gown with detailed beading along the trim of the neckline by Pamella Roland from the Resort 2025 collection.

Just like Diana's 'revenge dress', the low-cut neckline of Amelia's gown featured a plunge dip in the middle.

Meanwhile, her twin sister Lady Eliza, wore a princess-like black gown by Gaurav Gupta, complete with satin draped sleeves and intricate swirled detailing on the bodice.

The socialites glittered in jewels from Sartoro Genève, bringing back heartfelt memories of the beloved people's princess, who styled her revenge dress with a sapphire and eight-strand pearl choker necklace, which was originally a brooch given to her by the Queen Mother.

The late Princess of Wales, who died on 31 August 1997 following a car accident in Paris, wore her iconic ‘revenge dress’ at a 1994 Vanity Fair dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens.

The ‘revenge dress’ was widely seen as a statement following her husband Charles's televised admission of adultery.

The gorgeous bardot dress by Greek designer Christina Stambolian has gone down in history as one of the most memorable fashion moments of all time.

Diana chose to wear this now-famous black frock on the night of Charles’ confession during an infamous interview shortly after their separation.

The risqué, shoulder-baring gown with a sky-high thigh slit and rippling asymmetrical skirt would have been considered well beyond the realms of royal etiquette had she worn it before her separation from Charles, 76.
