THE homeless centre where Prince William volunteers says it feels like he’s coming home each time he visits.
The 42-year-old has helped at The Passage in central London since mum Diana took him aged 11 in 1993.
CEO Mick Clarke said: “We see him as the real person.
“When he comes he is very relaxed, very chilled.
“I have a feeling there is sort of a family relationship there, given the history back to when he was 11.
“People who have lived with homelessness are very good at instantly sussing whether someone is straight-forward and authentic or not and Prince William just seems very comfortable.

“Quite often you will see his shoulders drop as soon as he comes in.
“It feels like he is coming home.”
TV host Gail Porter, who was once homeless, thinks HRH’s involvement will break the taboo.
She added: “People have said to me, ‘What does he know about homelessness?’

“But they also say to me, ‘I don’t believe you were really homeless’.
“It’s not the sort of thing I would make up.
“It all went wrong for me.
“One thing led to another and another.
“I was embarrassed and ashamed.
“So to have someone like Prince William doing this amazing campaign gives people access to not feel ashamed.”
Wills features in We Can End Homelessness at 9pm this Wednesday and Thursday on ITV1 and ITVX, STV and STV Player.
