SHE loves bold outfits and striking colours - but according to experts, Meghan Markle opts for eye-catching outfits to seek ''attention''.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, took a leaf from the Princess of Wales' book over the weekend and arrived at the LA Children's Hospital gala, sporting a red gown she had upcycled from a previous event.
The mum-of-two previously donned the lavish red Carolina Herrera gown at a gala for veterans with Prince Harry in New York in 2021.
At the bash on Saturday Meghan was seen greeting young fans and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Demi Lovato and The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco.
To give the gorgeous red dress a new look, Meghan had taken inspiration from her sister-in-law Kate, 42, and upcycled the £4,565 garment by removing excess material from the train.
The Duchess ditched the old pointy heels with a gorgeous pair of £696 slingback heels by Giuseppe Zanotti, which also featured a crystal-embellished buckle detail.

Colour consultant Jules Standish says there is a powerful meaning behind Meg’s choice of striking hues.
She said: “Meghan went bright and bold in red – a colour that demands attention, showing that she feels confident and strong.''
Reflecting on Meghan's wardrobe at previous star-studded events, the expert went on: 'When she chose turquoise, a colour which is fun-loving and uplifting, she was showing that she’s cool and in control.
''And in white at the National Theatre, she was projecting an open-minded personality.

''White is ultimately positive and optimistic and counteracts negativity – a tool Meghan frequently needs.”
Psychologist Karen Haller agreed, explaining that the bold pick of red ''is the colour we notice before any other''.
“There is a rebellious side to red. Meghan is maybe showing her independence here.”
The repurposing of outfits is typically associated with Kate who throughout the years has upheld a thrifty reputation thanks to her love of rewearing frocks and stylish accessories.
The mum-of-three, who recently made her first public appearance since revealing she's finished chemo, previously spoke about her views on the environment when presenting an award at the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in 2021.
The Royal reminded: “Nature is vital to us all... But for too long we've neglected our wild spaces and now we're facing a number of tipping points.
“If we don't act now we will permanently destabilise our planet and rob our children of the future they deserve.”
Kate Middleton's love of recycling clothes
KATE Middleton might be a Princess, but that certainly doesn't stop her from rewearing her favourite frocks.
Jenny Packham Gown: She first worn the frock to an ARK Gala Dinner in June 2011, and then rewore it three years later to the National Portrait Gallery in February 2014.
Alexander McQueen Coat Dress: Kate donned the beautiful number for Trooping the Colour in June 2016 and then just a year later, was spotted in it again for the Easter Service, in April 2017.
Temperley London Dress: She first wore the black lace dress at the War Horse Premiere, in January 2012, but then, just months later, donned it again, at the St. Andrews University Gala, in December 2012.
Hobbs Coat: Even Kate is a fan of a staple coat, as she's reworn a classic number from Hobbs, which she first wore on Christmas Day in December 2012, and then again on a visit to Newcastle, in October 2013.
Kate Middleton's sartorial choices continue to inspire many, proving that elegance and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Although the Duchess of Sussex rarely alters her previously worn garments, she has also been known to wear the same clothes on numerous occasions.
When making a glamorous appearance at the One Young World summit in October 2019, Meghan stunned fans in a gown she had first debuted the January before.

For the second time round, she paired the striking dress with navy court heels and opted for minimal accessories - including a gold bangle and dainty bracelet on her wrist.
