According to insiders, the Duchess of Sussex is holding out until the opportune moment to release a tell-all book - and it could earn her millions.

A source told Closer Online: “The word in publishing circles is that everyone’s mad to land Meghan’s memoirs and the numbers being thrown around are ridiculously high.

“We’re talking tens of millions for her authorised biography – it’s going to get to the point where she can’t say no.

“And love her or hate her, there's no denying that she has an insight into the royals that no one else can share.”

Prince Harry's memoir Spare has reportedly earned him around $27million (£20million), including an advance of at least $20 million (£14million).

The insider claimed that Megahn has a “remarkable story”, and it’s just a question of finding the right timing.

They added: “She’s strategically chosen to hold off for the sake of peace, but she absolutely wants to share her truth – and why shouldn’t she, when she’s endured so much?”

While a revealing memoir may not be good news for the royal family, it’s something they have to face “sooner rather than later”, claims the source.

SUSSEX REVEALS

Since stepping back as senior royals, Meghan and Harry have already done a number of explosive interviews

The Duchess of Sussexes described her time as a royal as “almost unsurvivable” and described having suicidal thoughts.

She stated: “I was ashamed to say it at the time... I just didn’t want to be alive any more. And that was a very real and clear and frightening and constant thought.”

Prince Harry may have embellished drug taking claims to sell his book, a court heard

She claims she went to “one of the senior-most people” to seek mental health help but was told it would not be good for the institution.

Meghan claimed: “They said, ‘My heart goes out to you because I see how bad it is, but there’s nothing we can do to protect you because you’re not a paid employee of the institution.’”

Meghan also claimed it was Kate who had her cry over the bridesmaid dress incident.

She told Oprah: “What was hard to get over was being blamed for something that not only I didn’t do but what happened to me and the people that were a part of my wedding going to my comms team, saying, ‘I know this didn’t happen.’

“Everyone in the institution knew it wasn’t true.”

HARRY’S MEMOIR SWIPES

But there was more to come in Harry’s Spare book, as he recalled an alleged altercation with his brother William which ended with him falling into a dog bowl.

Harry’s father King Charles was also in the firing line for criticism.

Harry laid into his father for not hugging him after the death of his mother, Diana, the late Princess of Wales.

He also revealed how William disapproved of Harry’s marriage to Meghan and once called her “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive.”

Meanwhile, Harry branded Camilla the “villain” and a “wicked stepmother” and accused her of leaking stories to the media about Prince William.
