Who is Princess Ingrid Alexandra and how old is she?
Princess Ingrid Alexandra is the granddaughter of the ruling Norwegian King Harald V.
Born on January 21, 2004, the Princess of Norway is the eldest child of Crown Prince Haakon, and the second child of Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
This makes her second in line of succession to the Norwegian throne behind her father.
She is expected to become the country's second female monarch in 600 years after Queen Margaret who was crowned the first female Queen of Norway in the 15th century.

Is Princess Ingrid Alexandra in the military?
The Princess of Norway started her 12 months military service as a conscript at the Engineer Battalion in Brigade Nord on January 17, 2024.
When asked by the battalion commander if she “regrets her choice to join the Engineer Battalion,” the royal replied, “I have no regrets.”
The military service is mandatory in Norway, with Norwegian citizens required to serve from the age of 19 until 44.
We have the same expectations of her as all other soldiers.

Despite military service being a mandatory requirement for Norwegian citizens, it is highly selective.
With an acceptance rate of just 17%, the Princess was one of the very few to be selected and reports have revealed that the Princess receives no special treatment.
Company Commander Hågen Vangsnes revealed that the Princess, “has to wash the floor...make the bed and attend classes.
“We have the same expectations of her as all other soldiers.”
Who are Princess Ingrid Alexandra's siblings?
Born December 2005, Prince Prince Sverre Magnus is the younger brother of the Princess.
He is third in line to succeed his grandfather King Harald V, after his father and elder sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
In May 2017, Prince Sverre Magnus went viral for playfully 'dabbing' on the balcony of the Royal Palace during his grandparents' 80th birthday celebration.
The two share an older half-brother, Marius Borg Høiby, who is her mother’s son from an earlier relationship.
Marius was only 2 when his mother married Crown Prince Haakon.
In 2017, Høiby stepped down from public life to study toward a business degree in California.
Marius Borg Høiby continues to have no royal title or any official duties.
