QUEEN Mary and King Frederik have given their 18-year-old son a lavish present for passing his driving test.
Crown Prince Christian was rewarded for his successful test by reportedly being given a BMW X1 Sport model, which can cost £35,000.
The Danish heir has been seen driving the swanky vehicle and enjoying his newfound freedom - months after his parents were crowned as king and queen in January.
Christian’s new wheels are much more glamorous than the car Prince William received after passing his test.
King Charles is thought to have given Prince William a secondhand Volkswagen Golf Mk3 for his 17th birthday.
Introduced in 1992, this generation of Golf was already out of production by the time Prince William reached driving age.

Margrethe II is a descendant of Queen Victoria and King Christian IX of Denmark, meaning she was a third cousin of Queen Elizabeth.
She is also a relative of King Philip, who was born a Prince of Greece and Denmark, as he also shared ancestry with Queen Victoria and King Christian IX.
It hasn’t been announced if he will go to university or undergo military training after school, and when he will undertake public royal duties.
Frederik has been married to “Kate Middleton lookalike” Mary since 2004, and she is the world's first Australia-born queen.
