SUSSEX SEARCH

Meghan has ‘failed to find CEO’ for lifestyle brand despite weeks of searching… as filming begins for new Netflix show

The Duchess shares teaser for new brand

MEGHAN Markle has failed to find a CEO for her lifestyle brand despite weeks of searching, say sources.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, has spent the last five weeks interviewing for the position at American Riviera Orchard - which is a new site set to focus on home, food and goods.

A source in California close to the former actress said: "The initial CEO search has not panned out so far."

Filming for the brand began at Meghan and Harry's Californian mansion just last week.

While the bump in the road comes at a shock to Meghan, the failure to find a lead could see Meghan bag a deal with Netflix.

It is understood she has entered talks with the streaming giant about setting up a commercial partnership with the brand.

The sourced added: "It would run the lifestyle business with Meghan, developing products as spin-offs from her show.

"If a partnership is agreed, it's likely that Netflix would install its own CEO to run operations."

Last month, Meghan treated fans to a first look in a vintage-style clip on Instagram.

The grainy footage shows the duchess arranging flowers and baking in her stunning home.

The promo clip sent fans wild after it was posted as a story on the newly created account.

With a jazzy soundtrack by the late Nancy Wilson, the cryptic video conveys a sense of old-fashioned Hollywood glam.

A woman wearing a ball gown - believed to be Meghan - is also seen through open French doors in what looks like her lavish £12million Montecito mansion.

The footage also featured the brand's logo drawn in a script-like font that resembles a wedding invitation.
