Princess Kate’s outfit in video gives clue about hobby she’s enjoying during her recovery from surgery

Kate appeared to show support for one of her patronages

KATE Middleton's outfit on her shopping trip may be hinting at a hobby she's enjoying during her recovery from surgery.

The Princess of Wales, 42, was seen dressed down in a hoodie and leggings as she strolled through the car park during a farm shop trip with William.

Kate was last seen on public duty on Christmas Day and has been unable to carry out official engagements since having abdominal surgery in January.

But she was spotted decked out in black leggings, £128 Adidas Ultra Boost 20 Sneakers and an England Rugby Icon Hoodie Mens in Black & Orange for the shopping trip.

The snap was taken ahead of England's final game of the Six Nations against France later that evening.

And her sporting attire could suggest that Kate and Wills were picking up snacks and drinks to watch the rugby clash with her family.

Princess Kate is the royal patron of English rugby, and she makes sure she subtly shows them support during games, regularly donning white or red when she goes to watch them play

Unfortunately, she missed the whole Six Nations tournament due to her recovery, but as a massive rugby fan, it is highly likely she watched England play from home.

Kate attended two of England's matches at the World Cup last year in her role as patron.

The royal mum took over the roles from her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, in 2022.

Shortly after the announcement, Kate took part in a training session with England rugby at Twickenham stadium.

First video of Kate since operation is the perfect answer to online trolls say royal experts

Kate, who grew up watching rugby with her family, is known as one of the sportiest members of the Royal Family.

She has famously taken on her husband in everything from dragon boating to wind buggy racing at royal engagements.

The Princess of Wales is also royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and is a frequent visitor to the Wimbledon Championships.

SERIOUS SURGERY

It has been a difficult nine weeks since the princess was admitted to hospital.

William, 41, visited his wife every day in hospital every day and took time off work to help her settle back home at Adelaide Cottage.

He has been carrying on the school run in an effort to make life as normal as possible for his young family.

Kate spent half term school holidays in February at Anmer Hall, in Norfolk, with William and their children.

But speculation was rife after William pulled out of a thanksgiving service for his godfather at the start of the month citing a “personal matter”.

A photograph taken by a paparazzi photographer showing Kate in the passenger seat of a car with her mum Carole at the wheel was printed on a US showbiz website.

Kate apologised 24 hours after releasing a family photograph with her three children to mark Mother’s Day after it emerged she had edited.

The Photoshop mistake led to a torrent of abuse hurled online at the Princess of Wales.

The Sun understood the princess had been under pressure to produce the best picture she could, and led with the front page headline ‘Lay Off Kate’.

Princess Kate and William seemed like a normal couple... they were happy and relaxed, says witness who saw shopping trip

A DAD-of-one has told how he saw Princess Kate on a shopping trip with William.

Nelson Silva, 40, who took a video of the "relaxed" couple, was shopping for steak at the Windsor farm shop when he spotted Kate and William in the bread aisle.

He told The Sun: "I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar. I knew it from somewhere.

"Then William turned back and I thought 'hold on I know this person'. I said to the staff 'I think it's them' as I paid.

"I went to my car and as they came out of the shop I just filmed them. I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn't see a car.

"I just wanted to share with my family footage and show just how normal they were."

He said the couple had obvious "chemistry" and "were super relaxed".

"I didn't feel like they were hiding who they were. But they didn't quite know how people would react because there has been this build-up about their whereabouts and I got the sense they just wanted to be swift in there.

"Kate looked happy and relaxed. They look happy just to be able to go to a shop and mingle. Kate looked relieved like it was a success going to a shop. It felt natural."

Sources close to the couple have indicated that they have been affected by the vile social media lies.

Experts have said the sightings are a “great sign” and show the country how well she is doing in her three-month recovery process.

An onlooker spotted the “happy” Kate and Wills before capturing video.

They said: “When I went inside I looked around and noticed them. They all looked happy.”

The Sun exclusively revealed her farm shop outing over the weekend – but no images were published of the trip at the time.

It comes after wild speculation and gossip about her health and whereabouts left Kate and Wills “devastated”.

In a bid to reassure the public she released a Mother’s Day photo — taken by William — of her and the kids.

But the Princess of Wales only ended up sparking more hysteria and wild conspiracy theories over the snap, which she altered using Photoshop.

It saw Kate embroiled in hurtful criticism and trolled online over the heartwarming picture.

Body language expert Judi James has said The Sun's latest exclusive video proved Kate had "no desire to be supported or protected".

'Lay off Kate'

THE Sun last week led the way in defending Princess Kate when she was being criticised from all angles over the edited photo saga.

Social media trolls were quick to attack the future Queen over her editing of a Mother’s Day family picture.

Media critics also weighed in with their opinions alongside the idiotic conspiracy theorists, but The Sun stood alone in saying: Lay off Kate.

Our front page blasted: "The furious attacks on the future Queen over her photoshopping of a Mother’s Day family picture are not just absurd.

"They now look like a bullying campaign against a devoted mum, recovering from a serious operation, who simply wanted to offer the public a perfect portrait of her and her kids.

"She meant well, made a mistake and fessed up. Fair enough.

"Now leave her alone to get over her op."

Judi claimed Kate's strides in front of husband William sent out a powerful message to onlookers.

She said: "It is Kate in the lead here, implying no desire to be supported or protected as she walks ahead, turning her face to chat to William.

"Her stride looks wide and her body posture makes her look healthy and energetic."

‘KATESPIRACIES’

Palace sources told  that Kate is keen to speak about her health battle — but only when she returns to frontline duties.

One friend said Wills and Kate had been “shaken” by the online hysteria over her health and the fallout over her Mother’s Day snap.

But they said the couple refused to be pushed into revealing details.

The pal added: “They will want to be clear and more open, but they’ll do it when they feel ready.

“I would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They are not going to be rushed.”

Kate was discharged 13 days after her January operation.

But as she recuperated speculation grew online over her health.

“Katespiracies” have ranged from her getting cosmetic surgery to appearing as a contestant on The Masked Singer.
