KENSINGTON Palace has today given an update on Princess Kate after Prince William pulled out of an event over a "personal matter".
The heir had today been due to attend a church service and give a reading, but the palace revealed this morning he'd be missing it.
William, 41, was expected to be at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle for the thanksgiving service held in honour of Greece’s late King Constantine today.
However, he was forced to pull out over a "personal matter".
And while Kensington Palace would not comment further on William's reasoning, it said Kate was currently "doing well".
The princess is said to still remain at home recovering from abdominal surgery.

The late King Constantine of Greece, who died in January last year, was William's godfather.
The heir was due to give a reading, but instead, Prince Pavlos, the son of King Constantine will carry out the honours.
Queen Camilla will be joined by Her Majesty Queen Anne-Marie, former Queen of the Hellenes and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Pavlos, with members of the Greek Royal Family, for the service.
The Queen will also attend a reception with the Greek royals after the service.

Charles, 75, was at Windsor this morning but left before the ceremony began as he continues to bravely battle with cancer.

Kate, 42, is said to be “on the mend”, following her 13-day recovery in the private London Clinic - although she is unlikely to be seen carrying out any frontline duties until after Easter.
A pal told the : "Catherine is recovering well.
"She was looking forward to a change of scene and will be able to take it easy in Norfolk while the children let off steam with William."

Royal editor Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “Their home, Anmer Hall has every amenity imaginable and is a small animal haven including guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits and chickens.
“Then there is the pony Charlotte was given for her 7th birthday in 2022.
“It is small enough to be transported relatively easily between the Royal Mews at Windsor where all the royal children’s ponies are kept and the stables at Sandringham.”
Anmer Hall was originally built in 1802 and was given as a lavish wedding present from the Queen to William and Kate after they tied the knot in 2011.
Anmer Hall is located on the grounds of the sprawling, 20,000-acre Sandringham Estate, which means there is plenty of space for the youngsters to run around.
A source told Fabulous: “Climbing frames, a climbing wall and swings are a big part of the family’s outdoor activity scene.
