THE King is set to return to face-to-face meetings in two-weeks time, the palace has revealed.
Charles, 75, and Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, 43, spoke on the telephone tonight as the King rested at Sandringham.
The phone call between the PM and King was not the weekly constitutional audience between the pair, royal aides were keen to point out.
The King’s diary has largely been freed for the next fortnight after he had cancer care on Monday.
He is expected to return to London for meetings and treatment at some stage but also rest at any of his several countryside homes.
But February 21 has now been earmarked for a return to face-to-face meetings and weekly audiences with the Prime Minister.

The call between Sunak and King tonight was described as a personal chat and will not appear in the Court Circular of official royal engagements.
Palace sources said “arrangements were made for a brief personal chat” to the Prime Minister could “wish him well” as he recovers from both prostate operation and cancer treatment.
Smiling Prince Harry heads back to LA after 30 minute Charles reunion
PRINCE Harry has been pictured smiling as he heads back to LA after a whistle-stop trip to see his father.
The Duke of Sussex was pictured arriving at London Heathrow at 1.30pm today - just 25 hours after landing at 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Airport security vehicles and cop cars were on high alert as he was brought into the VIP Windsor Suite at Terminal 5 in a black Land Rover Discovery.
Harry, 39, wore a suit jacket, T-shirt and jeans as he greeted the British Airways' executive lounge's doorman in a top hat.
His security guards were seen pulling bags out of the car ahead of the Royal's anticipated 10-and-a-half-hour BA flight to Los Angeles.
It is believed Harry stayed in a hotel last night rather than a royal palace following a brief reunion with King Charles.
