The retired England player, 45, is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara.

He jokingly revealed William's nickname last year after claiming the Royal can't handle his booze.

But Mike has now claimed his cousin has since gotten better at drinking - and has a different beverage of choice.

He told : "To be fair to him the one-pint Willy name was several years out of date and we have given him a bit of training.

"He can now manage more than one pint.

"We call him five martinis Willy now. I think he’s keen for it to be out there that he can manage more than a pint."

But this is not the first time Mike gave Wills a cheeky nickname.

KING OF BEERS

Mike previously revealed the hilarious name in a special BBC podcast with rugby league legend Rob Burrow.

He said: “For the Prince of Wales, he is known as One Pint Willy.

“He is known to me as One Pint Willy because he is not the best of drinkers, coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often.

“That is one I will give away for the Prince of Wales.”

Zara then bursts out laughing before adding: “Oh my god. You are in so much trouble.”

He also said that he and Zara call each other “munchkin” while she has her husband’s number saved in her phone as a nickname ending in “kitten”.

SWEET BOND

The Tindall's have always shared a special bond with their Royal in-laws.

Royal fans were left gushing over an adorable moment between Prince George and Mike Tindall on Christmas Day.

The 10-year-old prince was walking past well-wishers as he left St Mary Magdalene's Church on the Sandringham Estate - and Mike affectionately put his arm around him for a huge hug.

The sweet moment showed the close bond George has with former rugby player Mike, who is married to Prince William’s cousin, Zara Tindall.

And it wasn’t the only time we saw the close bond between the Tindall's and the Wales family.

Prince Louis was seen gripping Mia Tindall’s hand as he followed Prince William into the Christmas Day service, next to Princess Kate, Charlotte and George.

Mia is and's first daughter.

She is 22nd in line to the British throne, following her mother Zara in .

ROYAL TIES

Ever since he married the Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips back in 2011, Mike has regaled fans with behind-the-scenes tales of his royal lifestyle.

He has previously revealed how he received a warm welcome from his new in-laws after tying the knot with Zara.

He told : "I can only say how kind they've been to me, and how welcoming they've been to me since joining the family. And how they've made my family welcome.

"I've always felt part of it and I think that's down to what an amazing woman the Queen is. They're a fantastic family."

While the Royals never publicly vocalised their fondness for Mike, it was clear in his various interactions with members of the family.

In 2019, the Queen was left in a fit of giggles when Mike lifted his top hat to reveal a miniature version of the same thing during a gag at Ascot.
