THE Princess of Wales is one of the most stylish women in the world.

Kate's earned her style stripes by wearing a mix of high street and designer looks we all love.

The Royals are a stylish bunch, but its not Kate and Meghan who are the ones we should be keeping an eye on.

She’s even been crowned best dressed in the world by Karen Millen, a brand she’s worn before.

But her style reign could be up for the taking.

And no, it's not Meghan Markle who also has a hit wardrobe envied by millions.

There are other royals working their way into our own wardrobe with their sartorial choices - but the ones you’d least expect.

Here, Fabulous’ fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals the unlikeliest stylish royals we should be taking tips from...

PRINCESS ANNE

Designer brand Fendi's latest menswear collection was inspired by none other than the reputed hardest working royal, Princess Anne.

Head designer of the Italian fashion house, Silvia Venturini Fendi,  said that the 73-year-old mother to Zara Tindall and Peter Philips is one of the “chicest women in the world”

The designer also added Anne is “capable of maintaining her femininity while wearing a uniform.”

The brand sent male models down the runway in full length waxed raincoats inspired by the Princess’ look.

Her countryside style is also a part of the recent boost Barbour has had.

British brand Barbour, which is loved by other members of the royal family, reported record high sales of £343 million - up a huge 20%.

Last year Barbour collaborated with cult brand Ganni and Gucci plus their popularity sparked tons of dupes all over the high street including a viral Uniqlo jacket.

You may have also seen the likes of Bella Hadid and Rihanna in sport sunglasses, something Princess Anne has worn for years.

Even pricey brand Balenciaga made a pair that was a huge hit, but Anne did it first.

KING CHARLES

When King Charles left The London Clinic following his planned procedure on this prostate the fashion world was agasp.

Whilst most of us would be leaving hospital in cosy loungewear or even a dressing gown for optimum comfort, the 75-year-old chose a black oversized coat.

A hit on the runways of YSL and Prada, and seen on other fashion icons Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber, the Kings look was bang on trend.

King Charles was one of the first public figures to champion sustainability, even making a speech about his passion for the planet's welfare 50 years ago which then people claimed was “rather dotty”.

Fast forward to now and his passion lives on.

He is a patron and founder of The Campaign for Wool which promotes the use of highly sustainable wool around the world and even launched a his-and-hers luxury clothing range with Yoox and Net-A-Porter to fight against throw away fashion.

The King also knows how to have fun with fashion.

Earlier this year he was spotted in Sandringham wearing another oversized coat, this time in camel, wearing a dinosaur printed tie that caught everyone's attention.

The pink and pale blue tie was a way of Charles showing off his playful sense of humour as according to royal biographer Robert Hardman's his tie is a play on the fact that one of his nicknames is Charles III Rex, or C-Rex.

QUEEN CAMILLA

We’ve been taking tips from Camilla’s wardrobe for quite some time.

At 76-years-old she doesn’t shy away from bold silhouettes, bright colours and nails the effortlessly casual look we continuously see from designer brands like Celine and all over our social media feeds.

When Her Majesty the Queen visited King Charles following his stint in hospital, she was seen leaving in a stylish khaki knitted vest.

With a crisp white shirt underneath with an equally as stylish frilled collar, the Queen proved she’s got her finger on the fashion pulse - and is someone we shouldn’t underestimate when it comes to on-trend style at any age.

Camilla also isn’t afraid to try something new or push boundaries when it comes to her looks, and that's why we love her.

Whilst on a royal visit in Swindon, Camilla wore two different styles of clip-on earrings.

The Queen wore mismatched accessories, one in her left ear that she wore on her wedding day in 2005, and in the right a gold earring with an orb shaped pendant.

Other A-listers such as Emma Watson and Gwyneth Paltrow have even done the same.

DUCHESS OF DEVONSHIRE

If you’re not familiar with the late Duchess of Devonshire, Deborah “Debo” Cavendish, I don’t mean the 1700’s Duchess who was once played by Keira Knightly in 2008 film The Duchess.

Deborah, who died in September 2014, is known for making stately home Chatsworth House the profitable attraction it is today.

But she was also known for her love of animals, agriculture and huge knitwear collection.

Often in wool jumpers or chunky cardigans, even in her later years she always looked stylish.

For his spring/summer collection last year British designer Erdem, who is a favourite designer of the Princess of Wales, was inspired by her life and wardrobe.

From florals inspired by Chatsworth's grounds to kilts, tweed and even chickens, her spirit was in the clothes.

Her love for her chicken breeding was in the range too.

From feather embellishments to shoes with huge bows attached to them that meant models (and customers) would have to pick their feet up and walk similarly to a chicken to make sure the bows weren’t damaged.

The brand also teamed up with Barbour, a brand the Duchess herself wore, for a collection of coats with quilted floral prints.
