Kate Middleton loves FaceTiming kids George, Charlotte & Louis & ‘will be in contact from hospital when well enough’

Princess Kate is just one of three royals who have had health scares in recent days

PRINCESS Kate loves Facetiming her kids and will have them visit her in hospital once she's well enough, an expert claims.

Kate, 42, is currently recovering from an abdominal surgery which will likely keep her off work for more than a month.

The royal underwent the planned operation on Tuesday last week and is staying in a private London Clinic.

This was the first of three royal health scares to be revealed in a week - with King Charles and Sarah Ferguson sharing their own battles.

Sources say Kate has plans to work from bed once she returns home from her surgery in her "unwavering commitment to duty".

But, George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five, will be her priority.

Royal expert Emily Nash said Kate tries to keep in contact with her youngsters whenever she's away from them - and she'll be missing them while she's in hospital.

The expert said Prince William would be holding the fort while Kate's away from home - with the royals' kids still seen at Lambrook School in Berkshire.

The expert told : “Kate loves FaceTiming the children when she is working away overseas, so I’m sure they will be in regular contact while she’s in the hospital, and the kids will be keen to see her as soon as she’s well enough.

“Both William and Kate are very hands-on parents — they take the kids to school, attend sports matches and concerts and try to be home for bedtime as much as they can.

“While Kate is in hospital, William will be at home keeping things as normal as possible."

The Princess was said to be "doing well" after the planned surgery, but was likely to remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days before returning home to continue her recovery.

Kensington Palace announced on Wednesday Kate had undergone the surgery, but were quick to say it was not related in any way to cancer.

She was whisked to the clinic on January 16 for the surgery appointment and did not go by ambulance, sources said.

Less than 90 minutes after it was revealed Kate had undergone surgery, Buckingham Palace announced the King would need an operation on an enlarged prostate.

The King, 75, was yesterday seen driving his electric Audi 4x4 this afternoon near Sandringham.

He braved the cold in thick green woollen gloves as he drove back into his Norfolk estate.

The Monarch was seen just hours after Queen Camilla faced the public, appearing to be in good spirits despite the family's "very very difficult" time.

There she reportedly told a well-wisher the King "is fine".

It came just a day after The Sun revealed Fergie, the Duchess of York, was battling cancer for the second time in just six months.

The 64-year-old had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma after a mole was removed as she underwent treatment for breast cancer.

Sarah, who was married to and has two children with Prince Andrew, today opened up about her shock diagnosis.

She wrote on social media: "I have been taking some time to myself as I have been diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer, my second cancer diagnosis within a year after I was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.

"It was thanks to the great vigilance of my dermatologist that the melanoma was detected when it was.
