KING Charles must take a "more aggressive" approach towards the bitter feud with Harry and Meghan, claimed a royal author.
The Royal Family need to "be far more proactive to silence the Sussexes", today said royal biographer Tom Bower in an interview with TalkTV.
He blasted the duke, 39, and his wife, 42, for launching their barrage of attacks on the Royals and claimed the pair have gotten "away with too much".
In an interview on Talk Today, Bower spoke of the outrage sparked over Harry and Meghan's daughter Lilibet being named after the late Queen's very private nickname.
“I always thought that Harry was lying when he said that he had the Queen’s support," he said,
"I think they played a blinder and it was quite outrageous."
Mr Bower branded the move a "hijacking" against the Firm and believed Queen Elizabeth II, "was not supportive".
He added: “What’s interesting is that overnight the Sussexes’ spokesman in Montecito insisted that their version was the truth.
"They’re really now worried and I just wish that King Charles would be more aggressive towards the Sussexes and tell them that all the things they’re saying and doing are really beyond the pale."
While some royal experts praise the Royal Family for their stoic silence amid poisons claims being lobbed by Harry and Meg, Bower doesn't think it's the best approach.

"I’ve always said all along that they cannot just sit back and remain silent when all these lies were being perpetrated," he said.
The biographer added His Majesty needs to be "more proactive to silence the Sussexes".
Ahead of the release of Spare, Harry's memoir, Mr Bower previously told The Sun: "I don't know what else [King Charles] can do.
"The best the family can do is to break ties with them [the Sussexes]."
Mr Bower today also touched on the prospect Prince William may not be hailed head of the Church of England when he is crowed King - as has been tradition for 500 years.
The expert was "surprised" by the "disastrous" decision, but blamed Archbishop Justin Welby for leaving the Prince "disillusioned" with the church.
He added the Royal dad of three has been put through "turmoils" at the hands of his estranged brother.
"But I think when it comes to the nub, he will not want to give up this critical role," Mr Bower said.
It comes as Robert Hardman's new biography is set to hit shelves tomorrow.
Sensational claims in the book include Buckingham Palace aids fearing the duke could release a sequel to Spare.
The bombshell memoir laid out shocking claims against the Royal Family, including Prince William having knocked him to the ground in a row.
He alleged his brother "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor".
Harry also said William had called Meghan Markle “rude” and “difficult” which escalated tensions.
The dad-of-two also claimed Will and Kate encouraged him to don the notorious Nazi uniform at a fancy dress party, and "howled with laughter" when they sway him.
King Charles didn't escape the attacks either, as Harry claimed he didn't hug him after the death of his mother Diana.
Meanwhile, the duke branded Queen Camilla the “villain” and a “wicked stepmother” accusing her of leaking stories to the media.
As reported by the , palace aids have said "it did not go unnoticed" there were "large chucks" of detail missing from key events.
Robert Hardman stated in his new book the "headwinds we face from across the Atlantic”, are not over.
“It did not go unnoticed that Harry and Meghan’s wedding, their married life and their eventual departure from the royal world amounted to a small part – less than a fifth – of Prince Harry’s memoir.
"This suggested either a sequel or, perhaps a memoir by Meghan in due course.”
