Names of royals in ‘racism’ storm WERE in Endgame manuscript, Dutch translator claims as Omid Scobie branded a ‘liar’

A TRANSLATOR who worked on Endgame insists the names of two royals at the centre of an alleged racism scandal WERE in the manuscript she was sent.
Author Omid Scobie says he "never submitted a book that had their names in" despite Dutch editions naming the pair.

But translator Saskia Peeters claims the manuscript she received had the names of the royals in "black and white".
Speaking from her home in Arnhem, Holland, she told : "I did not add them."
Another of the Netherlands-based translators, Nellie Keukelaar-van Rijsbergen, told The Sun it was ";unfair" they were being blamed for the furore.
Speaking from her doorstep in the small town of Schijndel, Nellie said Omid has left her confused.

She added: "We are professionals and we’ve done this for years, both of us. It’s unfair."
When asked what she thought about Omid being in the wrong, she said: "It’s a noble idea, but we’re not supposed to tell anything."
Around 5,000 Dutch copies of Endgame were pulled shortly after going on sale.
Dutch newspapers have decided not to mention the royals, but online news site nu.nl broke ranks.

In Belgium, some publications mentioned one of the names.
Scobie said he was "frustrated" by the error, which is still being investigated.
Speaking to ITV's This Morning, he insisted he has never used the word "racist" to describe the royals who allegedly questioned Archie's skin colour.
He instead described the incident as "unconscious bias" in Endgame, he claims.
But Piers Morgan, who last night named the pair in his TalkTV Uncensored show, blasted Scobie's claims as "bulls***".
Slamming the author a ";lickspittle liar", Piers added: "How else did the Dutch version get printed with those explosive details?
"He wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped him."
