As a result, the royal family is now quite thin, with just the King and Queen, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and older royal cousins remaining to support them, after the departures of Prince Andrew, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

NOT JUST CLOSE IN AGE

The royal siblings, who are only 19 months apart in age, have always been inseparable.

Beatrice, who recently celebrated her 35th birthday, has been branded a "great role model", the royals' "relatable princess" and has even been dubbed the royal's "secret weapon."

The royal, who has been one of seven Counsellors of State, has been described as more carefree than Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, more down to earth than Anne, Princess Royal and more relatable than Kate, Princess of Wales.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told : "Beatrice has put up with a lot of pressure and a lot of criticism in her life but she has really come into her own.

"We already have a divorced queen on the throne. Now we have a relatable princess.”

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede said: "Beatrice is a great role model for others who experience family troubles.

"She also has the ability to see both sides of the coin, so with regards to Harry’s falling out with William and King Charles, she can be more open minded and encourage both sides to discuss, talk about and potentially heal that rift.

"I think if anyone can heal it it’ll be her or perhaps Princess Anne. Beatrice could well be the royals' secret weapon."

As a result, it’s no surprise that she has such a close relationship with her sister - which was proved as Eugenie proclaimed in an interview with : "Mummy, Bea and I call ourselves 'The Tripod'.

“They are my best friends in the world."

LIVING IN LUXURY TOGETHER

Before Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank moved to Ivy Cottage, a home within Kensington Palace, the sisters lived together in a four-bedroom apartment at St James's Palace.
