PRINCE Harry has returned to Frogmore Cottage this afternoon after tragically arriving in Scotland too late to say goodbye to the Queen.
The Duke of Sussex, who is expected to stay in the UK until his grandmother's funeral, had dashed to Balmoral last night to rally with the Royal Family by the Queen's side.
He arrived at Balmoral at 8pm - an hour-and-a-half after Buckingham Palace announced his grandmother the Queen has passed away.
Charles, now King Charles III, was with his sister Princess Anne at their mother's bedside when she died - with the rest of the family still on the way to the castle, it is understood.
Harry is believed to be the first member of the Royal family to leave Balmoral after last night's devastating news.
He was seen heading out of the Scottish bolthole at 8.20am today in a black Range Rover - about 12 hours after he arrived.

The 37-year-old is now at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where he is expected to reunite with wife Meghan Markle - who did not travel to Balmoral - it is understood.
King Charles III and Queen Consort have also arrived in London ahead of the Accession Council tomorrow.
An Accession Council - the formal proclamation of Charles as King - will take place at St James's Palace in London on Saturday morning.
There were shouts of "God save the King" as Charles left the car at the Palace for the first time as a monarch following the Queen's death.
King Charles III shook hands with the royal fans, but one over-eager supporter gave the monarch a kiss on the cheek in a breach of protocol.
Prince William has also left the Scottish bolthole and is travelling back to Windsor to be with Kate and the children.
Prince Harry was driven to Aberdeen Airport where he was seen being comforted by an airport staffer as he boarded a British Airways plane.
The same worker was later seen consoling Prince Charles as His Majesty returned to England.
The Sussexes unofficial spokesperson Omid Scobie confirmed Harry was heading back to England and said the duke: "Will, of course, remain in the UK during this time."
It is not known if Meghan will stay in Britain throughout the UK's two-week mourning period.
