Meghan Markle & Prince Harry may have shock Royal reunion thanks to ‘peacekeeper’ Eugenie who was ‘there from the start’
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry may be reunited with the Royal Family thanks to "peacekeeper" Eugenie - who has "been there from the start".
The princess is known to have a close bond with cousin Harry, and may even have been the one to introduce him to Meghan.
But it's now believed she may even by the one to help the Duke of Sussex reconcile with loved ones after his move to LA.
Eugenie's relationship with Harry has always been particularly strong - and when he was a single man, she introduced him to her pretty female friends, including his ex Cressida Bonas.
It's speculated that she may have set him up with his future wife after she and Meghan became friendly.
The couple have never named their matchmaker. However, when news that the prince was dating an American TV star broke in 2016, Eugenie and her now-husband Jack were with them on holiday in Toronto.
The four also double-dated in the early days of Meghan and Harry's relationship.
And Eugenie has repeatedly shown her support for Meghan.
She is so far the only member of the family to back the mum-of-two's new 40x40 campaign, and has offered her services as a mentor to help women get back into work.
It comes as:
- Just 200 people have shared Meghan Markle's birthday poem on Instagram - despite her calls for support
- Experts say the Duchess is happy at 40 with no royals, 'millions in the bank and A-listers on hold'
- Meanwhile, one expert says it'll have come as a "psychological blow" to Harry to lose more patronages
- And sporty Kate Middleton will replace the Duke as the patron of his beloved England rugby teams
Meanwhile, Harry has chosen to stay with Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their baby August on both of his returns to the UK this year.
The couple live in Frogmore Cottage, which was initially gifted to Harry and Meghan by the Queen when they were wed in 2018.
When Harry flew back to Britain for his grandfather's funeral in April, and again for the unveiling of a statue dedicated to Princess Diana in July, he quarantined with the young family.
In another move showing how strong the bonds between the two are, Frogmore remains the official UK residence of the Sussexes - but a source claimed Harry and Meghan were "delighted to open up their home" to Eugenie and Jack.
His stays with Eugenie mean she is the family member with whom he has spent the most time face-to-face since moving out of the country last year.
HARRY'S STAYS WITH EUGENIE AND JACK
Like Harry and Meghan, Eugenie and sister Beatrice receive no public funding. Despite that, the sisters routinely attend functions with the Queen, as well as holding down successful careers.
Eugenie is also known to be particularly close to her grandmother, and referred to her late grandfather as a "rock" - fuelling hopes she may be the bridge between the senior royals and the Sussexes.
Her friendship with the Duchess - who she called "dear Meghan" in a birthday post on Instagram - is well-documented.
In the Oprah interview, Meghan said: “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable.
"We're friends with them as a couple.”
And one insider told : “Eugenie knows them better than any of the royals in a way.
'SHE WAS THERE AT THE START'
“She was there from the beginning.”
It's believed Eugenie has been sympathetic of Harry's recent interviews in which he damned his family and slammed his "nightmare" life as a senior royal.
That's in spite of reports that she was upset when Hary and Meghan announced their pregnancy on Eugenie's wedding day, and then didn't stay long at the party.
She and Beatrice are also said to have been left "stunned" by news that Harry has signed a four-book mega-deal - with the first tome, a memoir, due to be published in the Queen's Jubilee year.
Despite those reported reservations, it's understood their relationship is still strong.
And Meghan and Harry may well be hosted by Eugenie and Jack when they return in 2022 for the celebrations.
